Rumour Control: Microsoft apparently software testing MGS4.

If they port it, expect the usual re-release bonus extras added in and a possible PS3 re-release with said bonus features included as an extra disc (akin to Integral, Substance, Subsistance, etc).

I still don't think it's going to happen though... there are too many things ingame that Microsoft wouldn't be down with (Sony references, pimping of Apple products, etc.) that would all have to be cut.

Also, a name such as "Oxide" sounds like a follow up to Ac!d (XBLA port ahoy?)
Or maybe some sort of play on MGO (XBLA ahoy?)



Anyway, the MGS4 rumor for the 360 sure is a persistent one... maybe Oxide = to MGS4 what Substance and Subsistence were to MGS2 and MGS3... or maybe they're completely different things?


Anyway, if true, guess that means some asshat will push this game up in my face and then I'll end up being terrible pissed as I play through it...

If it's true, I'm excited. After watching my friend play it, I really wanted to play it! I do not have the money to drop on a PS3 and wouldn't want to drop money on PS3 for one game D:

I'm don't really care if it is on another system, I was going to get PS3 no matter what, I just hate that there will probably be extras on the 360 version. Its bad enough RE made me buy a Wii but I will not get a 360.

Well, if not, at least give us compatibility: MGS2 for playing on the 360.

I'll be really happy if this happens to be true. I don't mind swapping discs to play it (I did it with all the GC REs). If not, I'll buy a PS3 when I get the money .
