Aliens vs Predator 3

I havent played the demo yet but I seen on youtube and what players have been saying is the fact there only one level and one mode im sorry but if that's ture what the heck is that for the idea of a demo is to get players to get intrested not bore them.

I'll save my thoughts on the demo for when my bloody PS3 decieds to downlord faster im not kiding it's been downlording for 3 hours and it's only done 20%.

How to make a great Demo.

A) Get the best map
B) TDM
C) Dedicated servers with a server browser (for PC)
D) Maybe release an SDK along with it

Result? BF2 Demo which Ive personally sunk over 1000 hours into, and I see people from 2005 still playing it.

Team Deathmatch would have made a better demo, agreed. But interestingly enough, so far I've had the same kind of experience randomwab mentioned earlier. I've yet to be in a match where anyone treats it like a free-for-all deathmatch. The marines all team up to fight the teamed up aliens and predator teams.

I also didn't have any issues ever connecting to servers. Took like 10 seconds, no big deal for me. Maybe it's a console issue? I was playing it on Steam.

I can see how the demo isn't that amazing, with only deathmatch mode available. But I haven't lost interest in the game.

Ok so since I'm able to find matches now. Its really fun. I kick ass as an Alien. Usually around 25-30 kills per match. My first match I got 20 kills. But yeah once your able to actually find a game its a blast.

Holy shit. This is the biggest download for me, ever. It's taken over an hour and a half to get to 20 %. At least, I'll get to play it sometime in the morning, I've been waiting for this game for a very long time...now I have to wait more for the demo

I downloaded it in one run and then sat for 25 mins in the lobby trying to find games. Gave up. Will try again tomorrow when more people are on I guess.

Comparably the PS3 edition is poorer than the 360 edition by quite a bit from all accounts (even the menu is lacking images and the sound is poorer) which means the PS3 edition will be weak sauce - and they probably worked on it either last or the longest with many developement issues - yay.

But the whole thing is from the earlier work in progress and the multiplayer is capped at 8 (down from 18) for this, so I'll see. But it's not looking great so far.

Im surprised noone here has mentioned the horrible mouse lag yet. Is there a fix for that? I know its a feature, but in some games you could disable that.

After twenty minutes I got to play as a Predator, got my ass kicked. Another twenty minutes later I played as a Alien, owned with quickness. I need to try out the Marine.

I played it today with some THIA members. Only used the alien and predator once, and the marine twice. I much rather the marine - simply because the other two species have special abilities and things, and I didn't really understand how to use them. The loading screen has controls, but that doesn't tell you the functions of all the abilities that you're granted.

As a result I found it frustrating. I didnt have any issues with connecting at all. But I'll read into the abilities and give it another go in a day or two.
The reason that I've ordered the game isn't MP anyways. Hopefully there are some great atmospheric single player campaigns included.

Yeah when I became an Alien my first time I got 18 if you want when i get online we have a group if anyone is intrested just say.

I got the PC demo last night to play with a mate who's 360 is broken but we couldn't get into any games, it would find 1 or 2 people and then just restart over.

I have no trouble finding games on the 360 version though, it's very quick and seamless.

I can't help but think the Alien is a tad overpowered, the ability to attack people with your tail from the ceiling/walls and then jump on them makes it wicked easy to kill. I have yet still to play as a Predator, I just can't stop playing as a Xenomorph.

I find the second you get any of the Predator's wepons he becomes overpowered but the second you get the shoulder cannon it is pritty much a one hit kill when you find a high ground and use the shoulder cannon the points just come rolling in until a Xenomorph gives you the tounge
