Still don't care for Left4Dead and Modern Warfare 2, but some of the other stuff blew me out of the water.

I got home to the middle of it all and was like
To me, it feels like MS more or less did what Nintendo did with the Wii reveal...

    Good to be a gamer.

Natal looks pretty hot from a technical standpoint. PS2's EyeToy was a good proof-of-concept as far as taking that concept out of science labs and arcades (and bringing it home in an affordable way) goes.

The dashboard functionality is enough for me to want one.

Seeing the movie marketplace expand (to now include more European countries and stuff) is a pretty hot and awesome feature. It'll make me go broke, for sure :p

Facebook and twitter integration looks pretty hot too. I kinda hate the ideas of crossing the borders between my gaming habits, my personal life and all that stuff... but damn... they just nailed it as far as social networking goes (top that with the dashboard level movie sharing/watching system they showed off, compared to PS3's dependency on home for the same thing and such... MS brought out the big guns this time :p)

Exciting times we're living in... it truly is!

Damn...this is big news. MS waited until after the conference to announce it:

Microsoft's E3 keynote was so jam-packed the company decided to wait until afterwards to announce what might be the biggest new feature of them all: on-demand access to full retail games. The service will launch in August with 30 titles to start, and new games will be added weekly, with pricing to match retail. The best part? Purchases can be made directly with a credit card, no pesky Xbox points required. More pics of the system after the break.Update: Don't get your hopes up, MS tells us that the point system isn't going anywhere, it's just being supplemented with credit card purchases. Also, game rentals aren't happening yet, but they said it "sounds great for the future."

Full retail games on demand via the XBL Marketplace. New games added each week.

Wow...Mass Effect 2 looks fucking sick. I gotta pick up the original, it's at GameStop for like $15.

Mass Effect is one of the best games I've played in a very long time. Definitely worth the buy.

I wonder if this is being developed by the team that made the nightmare minigame in MGS3? That was the ZOE team, right?

Calling it "Lightning Bolt Action" instead of "Tactical Espionage Action" makes me wonder if it'll be something other than a stealth game.

I don't fucking know if it's exclusive or not...this shit is ridiculous. IGN reports it is, people flip out. I'm reading that MS is saying it's not exclusive, all kinds of other shit. Sony's conference tomorrow should be interesting. I'm excited to see what they have to combat with against Microsoft's pretty stellar showing.

Kojima's gonna come out and debut a trailer that shows the 360 logo that turns into an exclamation point, which turns into a giant PS3. He'll pop out and say "DIDJU RIEK EET?!" and "PS3-EXCLUSIVE" will flash across the screen.

Lol, dude, I am calm. That was my reaction to the Carnival of Stupid going on right now that is internet gaming forums. Take a look around at some of the debauchery that's going on right now on NeoGAF and GameFAQs. I shouldn't be surprised by it, but still, it's insane.
