I admit that the PS3 motion stuff sort of blew me out of the water. I love me my Wii and all, but I think it's on.

All in all, I really enjoyed Microsoft's conference. Project Natal looks very interesting even though I'm not a huge fan of motion detection anyway, Alan Wake looks great, same for Halo: Reach and ODST. I'm really impressed with what they're integrating with the 360 as well and the step towards more community on XBL.
Nintendo, was okay but mainly boring. The Dead Space: Extraction trailer and the DS Chronicles trailer were good, and the other games like Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid. Other than that, boring gimmicky sports/motion detection stuff.
Sony, VERY boring imo. The mo-cap looks like it could be quite fun though, like the bow and arrow and shooting. I think that could be quite fun and the controls could make things like FPS more fun. The only games I enjoyed out of the whole bunch were GOW3 and Uncharted 2, and of course the announcement of RE: PSP; you know, despite the fact we didn't see anything.

I'm somewhat amazed by how few games were shown.
Oh well, here's to hoping smaller companies + the show floors hold a lot of surprises for us these next few days.
Alternate controllers and new input methods are always welcome. It's what I truly feel separates a so called "gamer" from the so called "casuals".
While the casual will embrace an appreciate only a limited amount of input devices, the gamer will face the challenge of whatever is thrown at him/her. Peripherals and controllers are awesome.
Hope the vital monitor thingy from Nintendo will produce some awesome games too (someone kindly suggested something like Eternal Darkness using it) So far, the only game I can think of that has used a heartrate scan like that was bio-Tetris on the n64, which would adjust speed/difficulty based on your heartrate.

You're using an awful lot of lol's... you're okay?
Overall, this has been one of the worst E3's in recent history. Everything was so boring and focused on showing off motion gimmicks with the expected sequels of existing IP's.Last edited by Umon Daisuke; 06-02-2009, 04:39 PM.

i'm lolling because im having discussions about FF14 online on multiple forums at once, I was pretty shocked when Tretton announced it, but the moment they started showing the FFXI species, i realized what it was and that saddened me

Better E3 than last year's, here's what got my attention:
- LEFT 4 DEAD 2... ZOMBIES AND CHAINSAWS!
- Metal Gear Solid games: Rising & Peacewalker
- Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles & Portable
- Metroid: Other M
- Dead Space Extraction
- Assassin's Creed 2
- Alan Wake
- Modern Warfare 2
- MAG
- Uncharted 2
- The downfall of Wii (With Microsoft's Natal and Sony's Dildo-mote, Nintendo's bringing what? A vitality sensor? WTF!).Last edited by Beanovsky Durst; 06-02-2009, 05:59 PM.
