OK, well, if all goes to plan and I get my job in a week or two, I was planning on getting a PSP by the end of the summer. I mainly want it right now for Dissidia the most, so I was thinking about just waiting until the end of august to get the Dissidia PSP bundle. However, I also heard that Resident Evil Portable is supposed to be a PSP Go exclusive? So I dunno if I should wait for Go or what? Anyone got any advice?

There is no such thing as a PSP GO! exclusive game, all games will work on all SKU's. PSP GO! thing was just a random blurb, and shouldn't mean anything other than the game being a digital download title (which CAN work on any regular PSP as well).

Sony has said the PSP 3000 will stay on shelves along with the PSP Go, so I'm pretty sure that new games will not be download-only just yet. For the time being, it looks as though they're going to continue supporting UMD's and disc-based games. I'm looking for official word, though, and I can't find anything just yet.

Yeah, i mean it's not like there's anything different between a PSP 3000 and the PSP GO!, the hardware specifications are exactly the same, bar the lack of a UMD drive, and a few companies have already started doing digital downloads only (patapon 2 for example), so it's not like you won't be able to run anything on older PSP models.

Just wait for the PSPgo, the PSP-3000 isn't particularly great to begin with and digital distribution is the way forward, especially now that UMD is a dead format and has been for a fair while now.
In addition, the PSPgo is very reasonably priced, a lot cheaper than I thought it would be actually. So yeah, wait for the PSPgo and make the purchase, you need to think about the future rather than the present.See you in hell.

^ the GO! is 250$, where as the Dissidia bundle is 199$, and has the game, Advent Children and a 2 GB stick to go with it. So he'd already be saving like 100$ there. I'm sure you can find cheap 16gig mem sticks for pretty reasonable prices.
(plus the GO! has a smaller screen, that's kind of a bummer).Last edited by A-J; 06-24-2009, 11:07 AM.
