It isn't a good comparison. Bayonetta is only similar to DMC just because it's the same genre. The game however has completely different art style and atmosphere, lots of innovations in combat system etc. - it is different on so many levels that it would be really hard to mistake one game for another.

Dante's Inferno, on the other hand, looks just like God of War: Hellish Edition.

i really don't call that innovative, more like a mess because of its camera angel. and a chick who uses guns along with melee weapons? hello Dante, i found your long lost sister.

all the hack n' slash games fall into the same genre, because they're all too similar. various weapons, huge bosses, collecting shit to power up. yep, all too familar. but i'm not gonna let that stop me. i really don't care if its a Dante's Inferno is a knock off of God of War, as long as its good, that's all that should matter.

...from the demo, I can tell you that it's probably not gonna be good. Play it for yourself, though.

since its being made by the same developer of Dead Space, i don't have any doubts on it. i already played the demo, and i'm leaning' towards wanting it because of the of the Divine Comedy (which is why i prefer DMC over GoW) there's not that many games now that have a hellish setting and turn out to be good. the first DOOM and DMC and the Diablo series are like the only games that i enjoyed that contained these kind of themes.

as for Bayonetta, i might buy it, i might not. there's some things i find kinda stupid about it, like collecting rings (it is a Sega title after all) and her stance is embarrassing to look at.
