I found some Predator gameplay videos too.
ⓢⓤⓑⓢⓒⓡⓘⓑⓔPredators made contact with early human civilizations such as the Ancient Egyptians, Cambodians, and Aztecs, as well as a fictitious culture inhabit...
I think playing as a Colonial Marine would be the best though, and the scariest.
IO can't wait till they release Alien gameplay since I like the Aliens a lot more than the Predators.
I think Alien 3 is the worst of the four Alien films. But where can I see this assembly cut? This has piqued my interest. I did hear that the producers and Director of Alien 3 had a lot of disagreements which ultimately messed the film up a lot. I would love to see the Directors full vision of Alien 3.
Where to find this version?
As far as I know you can either get it as part of the Alien Quadrilogy DVD or Alien 3 Definitive Edition DVD.

Personally I'd rather have seen Vincent Ward's original idea/script directed by David Fincher... which was to do with wooden structures and monks living on their own colony that Ripley crash lands into, and in fact Hicks and Newt survive as well as I recall. The studio balked at the cost of it, and said they had to turn the monks into prisoners so that they could build basic industrial style sets which cost less. Thematically there are bits the final edition shares, but the concept was far more interesting and the developments and set pieces quite different.
Fincher refuses to talk about Alien 3 at all these days.Last edited by Rombie; 07-31-2009, 08:01 PM.

It's Alien 3 with 30 minutes of extra footage with some fairly big changes to the story but I won't spoil anything if you're going to watch it. It's not the true vision David Fincher wanted to get across but it's close enough, there are still a few missing scenes for e.g. the full autopsy scene.

I got in a huge box set with all 4 Aliens, both Predators and AVP's.

The last set released is the one you describe. Each set should be the 2 disc versions with the bonus features for every movie (except for AVP2 IIRC), but it's also still missing the 9th bonus disc from the original Alien Quadrilogy set.
In any case the version of Alien 3 you have should have 2 versions, Theatrical, and a second one which I forget how it is labeled. It's either Workprint or "Director's Cut" (which isn't a Director's Cut at all). In any case it is just an early Workprint edit of Fincher's as mentioned. It's definently worth seeing, and watching against the final theatrical cut for how different they are.Last edited by Rombie; 08-01-2009, 05:13 PM.

Ill go watch that soon then, I'm gonna watch the Directors Cut of Aliens as well.
I didn't like the theatrical version much so I will take note of the differences and hopefully this version will be a lot better.

Vincent Ward's idea of the wooden planet was very interesting and original but to quote a few of the producers, how the hell would they get a massive wooden structure like that in space? And how the hell would it have it's own atmosphere? One of the main reasons I have a big love for the Alien films more than any other sci-fi is because of it's dark gritty realistic depiction of what the future might be like so having something like a wooden planet with monks kinda ruins it for me.

Ooh, I forgot the Harlin version... thanks for reminding me.
The colony of monks was a planet with wood structures and not an entire wood planet if I recall correctly... it seemed to be as if they'ed found a planet not too dissimilar from earth and decided to live a co-existant life on it. Maybe. I need to re-read the details about it again.

No, it was a planet completely made of wood, it just had one machine at it's core to provide the atmosphere.
Really it was more of a wooden space station than a planet because it's more like the size of say the death star from Star Wars, probably even smaller.
