      Oh man this looks Epic!

I think playing as the Colonial Marines will be my favorite. This game looks really good, I can't wait to play it.

This game does look really good but that's about all it has going for it atm, wouldn't surprise me in the least if it turned out to be all flash.

I'm more interested in ALIENS: Colonial Marines which has been in development far longer than this game.

I'm a fan of the Predator films but really I feel anything AVP is best left to the comic book world where those 2 species really go at it at their best. Not games and CERTAINLY not films either.

Then you havent played AVP2 which is an outstanding game. Probably the best FPS game in terms of horror and has nailed all three species extremely well.

Im not too enthusiastic about AVP3, Im not the kind of person who forgets the eralier trailers and goes "woooooo!" every time something new emerges. This game has already gone completely wrong in quite a few aspects, not the least is borrowing from AVP movie.

I have played both AVP FPS' on the PC and I just couldn't get into them. AVP 1 I just found to be way too bloody hard to be considered fun and AVP 2 was just too OOT with the film references and in the end just felt really gimmicky although at the beginning of the Alien campaign being a Facehugger and then a Chestburster was one of the most awesome things ever in a game. Shame the rest of the game was poop.

You will just have to excuse me really, I'm one of those mega fans who has stupidly high expectations. But can you hardly blame me when the films (the first 3 anyway) are just so damn great?

It just pisses me off to no end when games developers see an opportunity to make money off already highly popular and successful film franchises only to make shitty games with flashy covers that they know will sell at least enough for them to make a good enough profit. Especially more so when it's films I care about!

I consider myself to be a major Alien (A1, A2 and to an extent A3 aswell) fan, aswell as Predator fan but I have never been into the AVP comics (which, really, would be the first stab at leeching off the two franchises popularity).

And AVP2 nailed every single bit of atmosphere, weaponry, attitude without almost any flaws, that the movies created by themselves. I see absolutely no reason why one would be disappointed in AVP2 if it "got it right". I can understand why you might be upset with them, but honestly- this isnt Andersons work were talking about. Were talking about being let down with a game which is legendarily close to the source material by creating the exact same atmosphere the movies were able to do.

So while I can see why you are negative towards it, I disagree with you and feel your critisism is not warranted.

Just to cool some pressure here, Im going to use this smiley to bring some positive tones into this otherwise potentially hazardous situation:

AvP2 is one of the best, most under rated FPS EVER. Excellent atmosphere and immersion, and so far this trailer seems to do that (for the marine campaign as well, the Predator gameplay they showed at E3 seemed pretty bland).

I really can't wait for this! I used to play AVP2 on my old computer years back and I played multiplayer so much, probably the most out of any game I own, either that or Warcraft 3.

This trailer made me get all giddy since it reminded me of Aliens, which is my all time favorite movie. The graphics are outstanding and I love how things aren't afraid to get right up in your face. I can't wait for the Alien trailer, cause that's who I plan on using.

I can't say I can understand how you think AVP 2 "nailed" the atmosphere of the films because I didn't feel it. Sure it had the sounds and looks about right but it just didn't feel right to me.

And this is coming from a person who tells his mates the main reason he loves the old RE games over RE4&5 is because of the atmosphere in the games.

But what I will say is good for you.

BTW, I'm surprised you said you liked Alien 3 at all, most people hate the film but then most people haven't seen the assembly cut.

I liked the atmosphere of this game and I am looking forward to it a lot. This trailer reminds me of Aliens which is the best film in either saga's I think. I haven't played the previous two games though. I need to check them out.

I found some Predator gameplay videos too.

I think playing as a Colonial Marine would be the best though, and the scariest.

IO can't wait till they release Alien gameplay since I like the Aliens a lot more than the Predators.

I think Alien 3 is the worst of the four Alien films. But where can I see this assembly cut? This has piqued my interest. I did hear that the producers and Director of Alien 3 had a lot of disagreements which ultimately messed the film up a lot. I would love to see the Directors full vision of Alien 3.
