Shadow Complex is pretty overrated. It didn't deserve all those perfect and near perfect scores it got. It's not a bad game, and it's certainly miles above a lot of other stuff everyone keeps on praising, but it's still a broken mess that should've gone through many more months of tweaking, balancing and fine tuning.
(And the main character appears to be a psychopath like no other, but then again, I kinda got good laugh out of it, so I don't mind that part)Last edited by Carnivol; 08-28-2009, 04:09 PM.

I bought it because not only did most my friends say it was a good game, reviews were pretty good, and I was remotely impressed with the trial, and despite the jump mechanic being horrendous and the falls in the game arcadey, I figured it worth the points to play the full game.
Considering i've yet to go 60% into the game, and have since quit with no intentions to play the game, I think im allowed to state my opinion that the game is hugely overrated and I wasted my time playing it as far as I had.
The moment sub machine guns, and assault rifles are introduced as upgrades I found less of a reason to be stealthy and think levels through as bombing through them with the mass amounts of grenade upgrades I found, and good shooting pretty much saw me through everything to the point where I quit.
Poor checkpointing also hampered my enjoyment of the game.

I wasn't able to grab it + still not showing for me.
Oh well... I can manage another day... Just. One. More. Day.
(And, yeah, I don't have any MS points on my JP account, so grabbing it there wouldn't have done me much good anyway. Only got points on my US and EU ones.)

This news might interest some of you, at least FPS fans, next week on DOTW Call of Duty Classic, Serious Sam HD and Battlefield 1943 get the axe and are available for 800 MSP, while Duke Nukem 3D will set you off 400 MSP. Other titles on discount are Worms 2 and Peggle. Plus Earthworm Jim HD sees the light on wednesday for 800MSP.
Best DOTW by far, IMHO.

Yeah. Would be nice if old "out of print" stuff just got a massive second (budget) life on Games on Demand. So far, only titles I've witnessed anyone buy there was my little brother buying the episodic Fable 2 and Saints Row 2.
Anyway, bump bump!

I may also add that I'll be all "Son... I am disappoint" over you all if you don't bite on Panzer General for that price.
