I never really liked it. IMHO, it's like it's in the middle between something like RE or something like DMC, making the experience somewhat empty, especially if you're a fan of both series.

I loved the first two Onimusha games, but the third one lost me with Jean Reno (who I love)voiced by the guy who played Leon in RE4's voice, a fairy and what not. Although, the opening movie and first level were pretty awesome. Once again, in the 4th entry, they lost with the furry little creature that hangs from the ceiling and craps it's diaper...WTF?!"One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

Also the PAL version is one of the worst PAL ports in all history with large black letterbox borders and slow 50hz speed. The only game I ever played that was worse was the PAL Sega Saturn Daytona USA.
From Dino Stalker and Onimusha 2, Capcom finally gave decent PAL60 and NTSC options - which was a shame they took so long because they'd offered these from day one on the Dreamcast. The issue also affected Devil May Cry which was a, pun intended, crying shame because it needed the extra speed.
