Uhm. I think I'll just go put in my Sonic Collection and play the originals rather than paying however much to get a shinier, less nostalgic version of the same thing lol. But that's just me.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Unsure if this has been posted yet, its an old clip but pretty much demonstrates all my current fears for Sonic 4.

Lofty/Slow rise jump for one of them, it just looks like an oversized Sonic Rush minus the rush/charge option.

SEGA pushes Sonic 4 into back half of the year

SEGA’s no longer planning to release Episode 1 of Sonic 4 on PSN, WiiWare and XBLA this summer. Instead, the game has been pushed into the back half of the year.

According to a post over on SEGA Europe’s site, the development time of the game has been extended to “ensure overall high-quality throughout the game by continuing to tune, balance, and maintain the kind of polish that an important title like this demands”.

However, on a side note, SEGA did reveal that Episode 1 will hit iPhone and iPod Touch upon release

Anyone else got it? Downloaded it last night...it's pretty sweet. Classic Sonic gameplay, except he's a little slower than I would like. His new homing attack is pretty cool, though. The only thing I'm disappointed in so far is the music. Not nearly as good as the original games. It's decent, but...I don't know. Maybe it'll grow on me.

I've cleared the first two stages and I'm trying over and over to clear the first Act in less than a minute, trying to shave a few seconds off here and there...but my fastest time thus far has been 1:03:96. I'm close. Hopefully I can pull it off tomorrow.

All in all, I'm happy with the game so far. It's classic 2D Sonic, and that's what we all wanted, isn't it?

I got the demo, its fantastic. The bright colours and details, its lovely. Trees move, flowers sway when you run past, the background moves. So many memorys, all in chrisp 720p widescreen. And I do like the music, good old 16bit inspired tunes and not to mention sound effects. Don't know about the price if I will buy it full yet.

Nope I wanted a 3D side-scroller. Still a shame they never released Xtreme for the saturn looked like it played like Kula World better than the Sonic 3D crap.

I'm still hopefull the Oliver Twins will do a remake of Dizzy: Treasure Island as a 3d side-scroller imo Dizzy was better than Sonic for me the Sonic games where too easy an short which is funny because all the Dizzy games where budget games apart from Crystal Kingdom a 3d platformer concept trailer was made

but I still think all old school 2d side-scrollers should be remade as 3d side-scollers and not 3d platformers that's where the past sonic games have failed imo.

My only problem so far with it is the toon shader they added to sonic's mesh, it strains my eyes everytime I look at it. Other than that small thing so far its being a refreshing blast from the past can't wait till ep 2 is out.

Price killed this for me. Pretty much any game that is episodic is a rip off when you look at the cost of all episodes content and price vs a retail game.

Will no doubt be a discounted bundle when all released, I'll wait that that bundle to find a sale.

Downloaded the demo...didn't like it. This is NOT the classic Sonic I know and love. The controls are awful, Sonic barely moves faster than a snail at times, and the homing attack works against you most of the time. The graphics aren't to my liking either.

I'll pass on this one, Sonic Team.

ITT: People who will never be happy.

People bitched and moaned about a classic 2D Sonic game. Bitched and moaned, bitched and moaned for years. They hated the 3D versions, they wanted 2D side-scrolling Sonic again. And now that they finally have it, what else do they have to do except BITCH some more.

The game isn't perfect and the price isn't fair, but it's a step in the right direction. Some people will never be pleased.
