Id be surprised if the emulation ends up being download only, if only because the PS1 games can still be played on both. But who knows, I know why they'd go the other way

The thing is though, I'd like to think IGN is one of the more reputable news sources in the industry. They don't report on rumors often.

They're not reporting on a rumour, they're reporting on a document that DOES exist and (yesterday at least) is freely available to download by anyone straight from SEGA. They're only reporting what's in the document.

Because they didnt see the document before SEGA took the thing off the FTP that it was on. Instead, they just took the information from elsewhere and reported it
