    • Is there a way to make planet scanning, I dunno, less boring? This is my only serious issue with the game at the moment; first few planets were fun, but now, after I've visited several systems, scanning those planets is horrible and unexciting. And I hate that you are limited to only 30 probes which means that after surveying 1 or 2 planets to the "depleted" status you need to go back and buy more probes.

I want my Mako back. At least you can view some nice vistas while driving it

      • ^ The only real way to make it less boring is to not do it all the time only scan when you absolutely need minerals for an upgrade that's available, and for better effects only scan "rich" planets, they give off numbers in the thousands at one time if you hit a big load.

There's an upgrade some ways in that makes it a little faster, but it's not a big difference.

        • I'm just doing Tali's loyalty quest, and then got Legions left after, and I'd recommend if you if you're doing another run then have Legion in your team when you go the flotilla. Interesting stuff.

EDIT: Garru's Side mission was so awesome. Totally one of the best morality moments for me in the game. But Garrus is my man so I had to help redeem him!

            Two upgrades.

            1. Some sensor thingy, but I have yet to understand what it does. Supposedly it makes the search for minersals more efficient?
            2. Upgrade for the ship which increases your probe capacity

All in all, scan fast and only stop when you hit the motherload. No need to strip a planet dry. Thats like... 3-5 minutes of absolute boredom and you dont win much.

            • Amazing ending, woah. Looking forward to the DLC/Expansions before Mass Effect 3.

              Spoiler:

So, so awesome. They really did outdo themselves.

              • Refused to look at that Spoiler.

Got everyone except Legion, everyones loyal except for Samara and Thane *who i've only just recruited*, but currently stuck scanning planets for Element Zero to upgrade the fuel limit of the ship.

                    • You can buy fuel and probes at a duel depot ship in the galaxy system map.

                        • If you want to double your Probe limit, Recruit Thane and purchase his Normandy Upgrade.
