Almost every demo I played when I was young a kid.
The one I remember the most was a demo of "Claw"; only two levels but I've beaten the shit out of them.

YES! I loved that demo too!

I think most of my favorites were from the early days, when I actually played demos a lot. Demos like:
RE2
Porsche Challenge
Colin Mcrae Rally
Tekken 3

More recently I've liked the GT-HD (is that considered a demo?) RE5, DMC4, Ninja Gaiden(s), Bayonetta and Pro Evo 2010 demos (among others I've probably forgotten).

This was a cool demo. Would it be worth much nowadays?

I just remember the "remix" of Primus - Jerry was a Race Car Driver included on the demo...nothing but the lyrics "Jerry was a race car driver...twenty two years old!"

Final Fantasy VIII: Dollet/SeeD Mission which came with Official UK Playstation Magazine back in the day by a long shot was the most memorable demo I have ever played, probably on par with the 10min RE2 demo which also came with said magazine.

Easily the Phantasy Star Universe demo on the Xbox 360. It's basically a mini version of the full game because you can play it online indefinitely for free.

Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Super Stardust HD. These demos all convinced me to buy the full games...and I have zero regret.

I remember playing the MGS1 demo on my PS Underground demo disk and playing it at least 10 everyday...literally lol until my mom bought me the full game.

Forgot about the MGS demo, do remember getting the demo on a Wednesday, then playing it multiple times between homework till the weekend when I bought the full game.

Can I just say, another fave would be the demo of the original GTA on PSX. 10 minutes of doing whatever in Liberty City, spent the good part of a day playing it over and over.

Oh my God, I forgot about that disc! Reminds me, one of my other favorite demos was on that very disc: MediEvil. And one other game, the name escapes me... Had to do with ninjas and stuff though. The camera angle was... not quite top-down but looking from an isometric view, and I recall getting some powerups. Geh, I forget...

Oh, and Spyro was on that disc too. So... my top three have to be FFX-2, Spyro, and that ninja game.
