  • Nintendo DS help

Alright, my happy minions. Another technical issue. I have me a DS. Said DS works fine but I never play the damned thing because I'm a very social gamer. So I only tend to play when my wife or kids are watching. Obvious issue is obvious, no?

Is there anyway to hook a DS up to a larger TV like you use to be able to do with some of the old gameboys? Maybe through a Wii or something?

I just checked a bunch of Nintendo DS forums, and I don't think there is any way to do that.. They make hookups to connect to your PC, though. They'd probably be tricky to get a hold of, since they're for commercial/programmer use. ^^;..

Only through emulation or if you mysteriously possess a Nitro devkit.

Alternatively, there are these clip-on devices that are more or less just a simple camera that live broadcasts the image of your upper screen (clips over it) and transmits it via cable to your TV... not exactly very cool. Don't think there are any other options (or mods) available that'll enable you to output images to the TV screen.

There is a Dev unit I have seen that clips into the GBA slot of the DS. It basically must be a video output dongle cause wires run off of it.

I see them go for several hundreds of dollars on eBay once and a while.
