I gotta agree with Jill's Boob, RE has always been cheesy as hell. That's one of the reasons I love it. RE5 wasn't any different...well the voice actors were actually pretty talented this time...and I actually wish they went with the original RE1 VA's for that special layer of cheese

Ha ha. Perhaps you missed RE0 and RE4? They came long before RE5 and possessed wretched attempts at "story." Even RE1, RE2/3 (same damn game pretty much), and RECV all have below average narratives.

Everyone here loves the RE storyline for the most part, but it's hard to say RE5 is the worst of the lot. While not the epic everyone planned on it being pre-release, it did at least tie into most every other game in the series and attempted to conclude some of the loose ends.

Don't even bother with that douchebag, in fact I am half convinced he loves the Resident Evil 5 storyline, he just feels that its e-cool to pretend not to like something on messege boards. Its Edgy! Resident Evil 5 storyline is by far one of the better STORIES in a game. While I loved the gameplay and suspense of RE1 and 2, the storylines weren't actually that great...they were cliched and laughable for the most part. Resident Evil 5 lacks in the suspenseful gameplay type...but is still a solid action title with some Resident Evilverse closure. The DLC probably won't be an amazing addition to the storyline...I mean what the hell could there be to tell? I doubt the tale of Jill escaping to the helicopter is riveting and I'm sure we already have seen the most interesting part of Lost in Nightmares. For RE fans though, it will still be enjoyable.

Hopefully Tales of Vesperia for PS3...localization pending.

I would get the Metal Gear games...but I feel Metal Gear ended for me with 4. Anything now will just ruin my great opinion on the series.
