  • Splinter Cell: Conviction

Seeing there's no thread for conviction I'd make this thread for information and news based on the series

In the official x360 magazine today (Emma has it ordered early at the post office here so we can read a few nice press information early before embargo's end on the web) and Splinter Cell is looking very good. It's feature is based on a co-op campaign, based around 6 hours on two unique characters set in their "own" levels in conviction, with a story and character development, like you expect with a Tom Clancy title. I have to say it's looking marvelous to see the old school third echelon outfitting and gear on these guys. Expect this to be hitting the webs shortly.

Daaaamn. Sounds really nice, just read about the co-op thing. 2010 is starting to look really nice.. Alan Wake, Dead Space 2(hopefully), Mass Effect 2, AvP etc...

New video diary on the story side of things with Conviction. I recommend this to people who want to know more about the universe/characters of Splinter Cell.

It has been revealed today that the much-anticipated Splinter Cell Conviction title is set to include a co-op campaign portion, that will not only act...

Co-op mode confirmed, separate story from the main game, will serve as a prequel to the Fisher's story.

Cool for the demo, but do we REALLY need yet another single player experience tarnished by co-op and multiplayer?

It'll be the death of the games industry eventually, even Biowares considering it now for future games.

Release date etched into a rock. Very original, Ubisoft.

"Anyone who likes killing terrorists, should pick it up."

And before that, it was all about how the game "reinvented the stealth genre".

                            Yeah...

                              Gameinformer Review:9/10

                              - Graphics:

The environments are beautifully rendered, and Sam’s animations are killer. Black and White effects are used to freely, resulting in a detachment from the world.

                              - Sound:

Sam’s gravelly tones are fueled by emotion and backed by a suprisingly score.

                              - Playability:

I never once had to fuss with the controls. The stealth mechanics are easy to embrace, and the gunplay offers razor-sharp precision.

                              - Entertainment:

A Satisfying conclusion to Sam Fisher’s tale coupled with one of gaming’s most rewarding co-op experiences.

                              - Replay Value:

                              Moderately High.
