It will be downloadable like the previous game, but extra content has yet to be revealed in its entirety. What I do know is Megaman is now 1 of 3 selectable characters you can play as. You can play as Megaman, Protoman, and the other one is a secret right now. There is also an "Easy" mode.
Can it be? Can it be that we actually get another game that doesn't need "OMG 3D REALISTIC GRAPHICS!!! OMGGGGG!!!" to be successful?
This is one of the best gaming news announcements I have heard in years, literally. The games today are shit.
While thats true, in some ways im annoyed they stopped making the X series.
Get people to magically buy hundreds of thousand copies of Maverick Hunter X and I think we're back on the right track (actually, some more purchases of Powered Up would be good too).
X5-6 were a mixed bag, X7 was what I would call a disaster, Command Mission just didn't have anything going and X8, to me, suffered from the same issues that're found in Dracula X Chronicles (the 3D just acting as a piece of shite, messing up the pixel perfectness and stuff floating through eachother)
...turn in your fan status, you are now cast into the wastelands
Well I figure a Legends sequel is just as valid to ask for than a sequel to any other Megaman series. Espescially since they want to go with the whole "retro" vibe and keep the graphics like they were originally intended, doing a Legends sequel with the quasi-same PS1 graphics seems just about the same as doing something like MegaMan 10. It could happen down the road--eventually.
But kudos to Capcom anyway to be willing to do a retro throwback.
Someone said something interesting somewhere else, regarding the "Sheep Man" name. Is it possible that the rest of the bosses will also use animal names?
It's not unlikely, seeing as the franchise has had some odd little consistency thingies and nods between the series, it's not unreasonable to follow the train of thought that "10 = X", and thus, like the X-franchise, boss names will be animal themed.
Very excited about this! I completed Mega Man 9 but interestingly haven't played any other Mega Man game - MM9 was my first. I gave the demo a go and simply thought: I need to have this. I'll probably try MM2 when I get the chance and have completed my many unfinished games, since its commonly regarded as the best in the series.
Is there any word of a 360/PS3 release? I haven't seen anything yet, I'm sure it's inevitable though.
Great that its coming out in March! Nice one Capcom!
