  • PS3 - Do you play with a Normal TV or HDD?

I was wondering if everyone here plays with a HDD TV, or on Normal TV. And what differences did you all find after buying a HDD TV? Which is better? Is it the same?

i played DMC4 on an SDTV first. then played it on an HDTV. SDTV cuts off the sides when playing it. HDTV shows everything in full.

When I'm at school, I play on a 13-inch Daewoo TV/VCR combo from, like, 1994. At home, though, in my room, I have a 32-inch Westinghouse HDTV. There is no comparing. Both my PS3 and 360 are hooked up via HDMI and the picture quality and aspect ratio are lightyears better than anything you see on a SDTV.

PS3 and 360 both hooked up to my 40" 1080p TV with HDMI, the Wii is also hooked up to this but with Component. The PC is hooked up to a 19" widescreen LCD through VGA and is running at 1360x768.

            HD all the way.

I have a 40 or 42 inch(I can't remember which) 1080p Samsung. I have an HDMI connection for the ps3, and my laptop(unfortunately, my 360 is one of the earlier HDMI-less models ). Just to be clear--there IS NO comparision between SD and HD. NONE. Even with a componet HD setup, you can tell just how big a difference it is. HDMI though is where it's truly at. It's hard to picture myself going back to a SD tv or a desktop monitor for computer stuff. You simply can't beat it, lol.

When I first bought my PS3 I was playing on a shitty old 13" TV.

I then went and got a 46" LCD HD TV.

There's no question as to which is better. Words can't describe how much nicer it is playing on a HD TV.

I don't have a PS3, but my X360 is hooked up to 42" HDTV. HD is the way to play!

PS3 and 360 are hooked via HDMI to my 42' LCD Samsung, with component cables for the Wii, which I recommend for people to purchase if they are using standard VGA cables on High definition screens.

I use HDTV for 360 and PS3, Standard TV is for Wii only.

HDTV for my PSWii60. HDMI for PS360, component cables for Wii. The TV (the family TV, but I probably use it most) is a 52" 1080P Samsung with a 120Hz refresh rate. Makes games look furking beautiful.

                            I like my optimization.

I have an Akai 37'' LCD but THE FUCKING HDMI SOCKET ISN'T WORKING. My Cable box has component luckily but I have to use AV w/ my PS3. I can't tell you how shitty that is. Especially actually seeing the quality drop like a rock midway through UC2.
