Sorry I couldn't resist. Although I never did get into warcraft after the first couple of games. I played Ultima Online for almost 10 years though. I have to say though the game looks intriguing I just can't afford to pay more money for playing online hehe.

i have to ask though is there a way to know my realms without logging itno the game?

Is it possible to play this game and get into it without it totally taking over your life? I ask because I know a few people who play WOW and they...well they aren't much fun to hang out with. I ask because I've always been a bit interested in the game, yet I'm afraid to play it because of what I've heard and what I've seen it do to friends and their relationships.

Ok, On Bladefist PvP (Europe) I have Ásmundr level 80 Paladin, Foirtchern lv 22 Night Elf Hunter, and on The Maelstrom PvP (Europe) I have I have Vermundr lv 34 Human Mage.

Only tried playing as horde once with a Deathknight, got annoyed at the maturity of some people in the server so deleted.
Might re-roll as a death knight on another server though.

Edit: Had taken a 5-6 month Break of the game but started playing it again in the last week or so since i've nothing to do till I start basic in march *or find temp work in the mean time*, it really is addictive though just got to Theramore Island with my Mage.

It is possible to play it without it taking over your life, yeah. I tend to play it in short bursts though, where I play a lot for a week or so, then have a 2-3 months off, then go back to it. I've had my main since November 07 and I've only just got to level 48 now, so you don't have to play it non-stop to enjoy the game.

This is true, but I can see why people get hooked on it even though the game is very good at hiding the monotony of the grind/loot/collect mission structure.

Since Trial came out. But with the new lfg system, every random you go into after the 2 frost emblems will net you 2 Triumph. 1 Triumph from every boss. Don't forget the weekly raid as well, that will grab you 5 frost and 5 triumph emblems.

And tanks get quick parties on the lfg faster since everyone in the world is a dps, the dps que takes around 11 minutes!

3.3 was a godsend...well to most.

The ICC raid is awesome, I love it so far.

New LFG system is good too, I was able to gear my paladin out that was wearing quest gear in about 2 days. Have half of the tier 9, since some pieces arent so great.

As far as how addicting the game is...well play casually and its not so bad. I raid 3 nights a week for about 3 hours, on days when I have nothing going on, I play for a bit but not as much as some people. It keeps the game from getting boring and allows me not to be sucked in.
