God of War III

Figured it's about time a thread was made for the game of the millennium. All discussion on Krato's final assault on Olympus stays in this thread.

The game is due out in March/April, and it looks fan-fucking-tastic. I've played the demo, and it blew me away. And that was from BEFORE last E3. The E3 demo was an old build in June 2009. Sony Santa Monica has had a very long time to polish the game, and you can tell that by these new hi-res images. David Jaffe's famous comments of the game looking like "a painting come to life" have never seemed more true. Gameplay-wise, the game still feels the same as the original games, and there's nothing quite like it.

I've pre-ordered the Pandoras Box set, but the version here costs more than it does in the US because it includes a copy of the HD remastered GOW 1&2 along with all the other stuff. I'm happy to pay for it because it never got an official release here and the import copies are roughly the cost difference than if I just imported the US version of both the collectors set plus the already released GOW1&2 set.

I've played each of the GOW games as soon as they came out so why not buy the last one...that and the fact that it looks fucking amazing and the demo was glorious. This, AVP, EA's MMA, and RE5 Gold Edition are my main priorities so far for 2010.

this game isn't getting as much marketing as Dante's Inferno. you'd think that Sony would push this very anticipated game around, but because Sony doesn't market their shit, it never reaches out there.

It's not due out for almost 2 months. They will definitely have some Kevin Butler commercials for this game.

This game looks great. I need to get the first two games and will probably pick up God of War Collection.
