Just finished God of War II for the first time in years...and suddenly I remember exactly why I'm so PANTS-SHITTINGLY excited for God of War II. What a fucking epic ending.
Spoiler:
Athena sacrificing herself to save Zeus was pretty crazy, but a scene that I got MUCH more excited for this time was when Zeus was speaking to the other Gods on Olympus. GoW3 could feature all of them -- Helios we know of, and Hades as well, but what about Poseidon and Hermes who were both present in the scene? I feel like a boss fight with Poseidon could be absolutely fuckin' NUTS. And then, the scene of all the Titans climbing up Olympus with Kratos on Gaia's back... "ZEUS, YOUR SON HAS RETURNED!!"
I can't wait for March 16th!
"If all on Olympus would deny me my vengeance, then all on Olympus will die."Last edited by Vector; 02-19-2010, 05:01 PM.

I somehow doubt that. I mean I'm sure Sony probably is after so many years and delays and over 80 million dollars in costs... but I'm not exactly confident in that.
And as much as I was looking forward to MGS4, I think there are far more people looking forward to God of War 3 currently than there was for MGS4. MGS2 really hurt the series, to the point where MGS3 really undersold for what it was and even then the contents of reviews for MGS4 put a lot of people off.
God is coming off the back of 2... sorry 3 (including Chains on PSP) exceptionally high rated, critically acclaimed, and well selling titles... added with the fact they've shown off very little building more hype around what people expect to see, I expect decent sales for this.
But who knows. Uncharted 2 should have sold exceptionally well... but while it's sold more than the first did in it's entire run, it wasn't exceptionally massive either.Last edited by Rombie; 02-24-2010, 03:59 AM.

I've played the game and believe me, we hardly touch on a lot of the game. It's huge and they've shown very little
I'm gonna take his word for it and watch the show tonight...

I'm actually quite disturbed by this board's lack of anticipation for this game. Everyone was shitting their pants over Mass Effect 2 and Heavy Rain a few weeks ago, but why no love for the game of the millennium? I digress, if someone hasn't played GoW1+GoW2 and don't plan to get GoW3, it truly is their loss.
