I mostly loved GOW 2 for Spoiler:
the phoenix
I finished GOW3...Spoiler:
Punching Zeus' skull in for at least five minutes was fun. And Gaia mentioned 'the other'...Does Kratos' brother sitll live, I wonder? And what of the other missing gods? A mystery indeed, and thanks CR29 for that teaser site link.

Here's a lengthy interview with Stig Asmussen, GoW3's director:
He talks about possible DLC, sequels, inspiration for the game, lots of cool stuff that they couldn't fit into the game, etc etc.

It's interesting, because SSM has said that the video mentioning Kratos's brother is non-canon...but then we have Gaia's comment near the end of the game, and also one of the letters in Hades sounds A LOT like it was written by his brother...I just can't find it anywhere online.Last edited by Vector; 04-12-2010, 03:22 AM.

I remember letters by his daughter, the ship captain, and his mother...I think I may remember the one you're mentioning, faintly. Was it the one in the chaimber with the Posiedon Princess?

From day one, the creators of the series said they were going to be liberal with their interpretations. I know a thing or two about Greek Mythology also, and I really don't mind what they did with it. They took what they knew, twisted its elbow and made it their own and I don't think of it as a violation. I think of it as a re-imagining of sorts.

Spoiler:
Hermes is playful and devious, the trickster. Hades isn't a villain, and he had a legitamate reason to want to kill Kratos. Zeus IS an asshole, Aphrodite does get around, and Hera was bitter at her husband's many affairs. Drunk, I dunno, but bitter, YES.
However, stuff like the use of Pandora's Box, yeah, total liberties. Overall, not as bad as they could've done with it.

If by liberal they meant inject a mass amount of testosterone into every orifice of the game, then they have completed their goal. I just find some things bit too much and totally out of character. Such as Aphrodite getting freaky with women. Never happened in Greek Mythology.
Eh, maybe I'm just being too picky.

Spoiler:
Did anybody else find it funny when Aphrodite's slave girls broke the forth wall?
Also, I've had some odd glitches. Including moving THROUGH the wall puzzle in Tartarus, and afterwards moving in a cave like area until it just kills me, and the second time you see Aphrodite, one of the two girls has disappeared.
