Well, since Tatsunoko vs Capcom comes out soon, this thread is relevant, as is news that Capcom will possibly reveal a new Versus title later this year:

If so, I imagine that a couple of RE vets could possibly find themselves included. Primary candidates (IMO) are Chris, Wesker, and Leon.

Anyway, I figure this thread could be a place for fans of the Versus titles to share their thoughts.

I've personally thoroughly enjoyed MvC1 and MvC2, and like many, many others...would love to see a 3rd entry made.

Anyone here picking up TvC for the Wii? I am, just so I can play as Ken the Eagle and Frank West.

Oh I'd be looking forward to that for a variety of reasons...one of which is to see some nice Darkstalkers faces. I just hope the next Capcom vs. game plays like MvsC2 (air combo system etc).

I remember hearing rumors about MvsC3 (which turned out to be a MUGEN mod) including characters such as Dante and Nemesis. I'm glad you made this thread, it's great to hear consideration for a new vs. game.

To include some of the new characters from newer capcom games would be a good idea to start with.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 would be insane. Both companies have a tremendous amount of characters. The rosters could be absolutely ridiculous. Think about it, Marvel has Spider-Man and all his enemies, X-Men and all their enemies, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, the list goes on and on. Capcom has Resident Evil, Mega Man, Street Fighter, on and on and on. If MvC3 is done correctly, it could be a juggernaut(who just so happens to also be a Marvel character ).

...not to mention all the Disney characters that could be thrown in there, since Disney now owns Marvel. I can dream, can't I?

Nice to see some fellow Versus fans. I'd forgotten about Disney owning Marvel though...

Yuck. Just the thought of Akuma -vs- Goofy, or Venom -vs- Baloo makes me gag. When I think of Marvel -vs- Capcom, that doesn't involve Marvel -vs- Capcom -vs- Disney.

Haha. I hope Disney doesn't flex any muscle to force their characters into a 2-D brawler sequel.

I know my friend will get Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (he's a pretty big fan of Tekkaman Blade) so I'll probably play it a good amount. Frank West was a pretty cool addition, but I don't like DR too much.

For everyone else in this topic, who were/are your favorite characters in MvsC2?

I enjoy using Ken, Jill, Colossus, Dan, Morrigan, Cammy, Thanos, Wolverine bone claws, and others.

I found the MvC games fun but when it comes to being competitive the fact they are unbalanced jokes makes it rather pointless to me, fun playing with friends locally but that is it. I probably wouldn't buy a MvC3 unless they really attempted a much balanced roster.

I may pick up TvC if the price of the Wii fightstick drops in price, currently it is £70+ £25 for the game, that is £95 for one game (I refuse to play any fighter without a stick). If the Wii actually had good fighter support I would buy the stick normal price. As it stands I will not be buying.
