Just thought I'd start a thread on the original playstation to hopefully meet like minded psx fans like myself.

I'd love to hear about your favourite ps1 games and suggestions on good places to find ps1 games,consoles and other paraphenalia also feel free to post pictures of your collections and your proudest purchases!!

I'll try to post some pics up myself soon enough and any other information related to this topic.

Basically anything ps1 related goes here so keep it clean and post away!!!

I got Time Crisis, Overblood II and Tekken 3 for a £5 which was nice.

I did have a complete Breath of Fire 3 but traded it in 7 years ago cos I had to back then to get new games. Wish I didn't now. Had bought it for a £10 and now can't get it for less than £30 odd.

I have a spare disc 2/3/4 of Fear Effect 1 Pal.

I also have the FF8 demo disc and a demo disc buried away of Tomb Raider 3 beta/Demo (nevada prison was different or at least I remember it being different). I also have the Tekken 3 Collectors Edition demo (think I still have the box but unable to check).

I'm always on the prowl for games I'd like to play or if they are cheap enough. I have the non platinum Metal Gear Solid on order with the Silent Hill Demo coming soon.

I enjoy collecting PS1 games since a lot of them can be picked up rather cheaply. I wouldn't say that I'm a manic PSX collector. Its just a hobby I can indulge being a student now, save a few quid on the shopping bill and buy a random PSX game. However I did buy an old Greystation for that authentic experience.

I've got a pretty large pile of PAL PS1 releases. Especially got a bit of a focus on PAL exclusives and/or slightly odd PS1 ports of various PC games.

Ps1 games are my favorites but i won't post them all up here right now. I will post up some pics where you hopefully can see them. When i have more time (right now i am paying bills and posting) i make a list. Because i was lazy and posted pics other games are shown aswell, just ignore those

I know my local store has a copy of Chronicles of the Sword (£10), Grandia (£10 budget version) and RE:Survivor (complete for a £5, lol should buy it and sell on Ebay). Dunno how rare the first two are.

Annoyingly a lot of my boxes and manuals are in storage at my parents house (hopefully my mum stored my stuff in the loft and not the garage though my garage doesn't have a damp problem I just wouldn't want them stored there) from when I moved to Uni. So I can't really show off my collection. I still have my old PS1 at home, well I think I do. It became a 15~25minutes to make it play a game ¬¬.

A lot of my games I kept from the PS1 era so they are in a similar state as to when I bought them. Thankfully I was a shrewed Teenager and only bought non Plat versions of games. Just wish I wasn't so stupid with trading in certain titles.

I'd love to have one of those but I'm on a budget. Sometimes I wish back when I was an IT techie, instead of wasting my money on PC upgrades, I realised I wanted to collect the old game systems. Unfortunately in 2005~2008 I still considered PS1's recent gaming consoles, still do a bit now, and I stupidly forgot to have a hobby I could enjoy.

Games I would be after if I could find them:-

Tekken 2 - I swear I had this game, oddly I can't find it.
Parasite Eve
One of those boot loader discs for import games
Breath of Fire III

But again I can't throw money at this hobby. Have to be selective and cunning via Ebay and such.

Yeah Ive found a yaroze console for £200(its mainly for playing my imports cos my previous proven methods have failed lately) and its bonus month in work but I should really keep my money for my next japan visit because you can never have enough money in japan when it comes to ps1 merchandise its the holy land to me.

Oh I also forget to mention I own a pocketstaion which I purchased in japan.

as for parasite eve and breath of fire 3 theres quite a few on ebay for fairly reasonable prices.

I left all my psx collection back in the philippines 3 years ago before I came to the USA. I wanted to bring them though it would be illegal since they are all pirated. The only collections I currently have are all Resident Evil game series and Final Fantasy 6,7,8,10,10-2,12 and soon 13. I'm still looking for FF9 so I can play it again for memories.

Well my Metal Gear Solid arrived today and considering, it isn't badly marked. Came complete with the Silent Hill Demo, the demo insert and the MGS manual all in pretty good condition. Worth the £7.50 I chucked at it.

I missed by 10 seconds picking up a 2nd PSX with 2 memory cards for a total of £5 including P&P. I seem to be running out of slots on my old memory cards, doesn't help 2 of them were non offical and would often loose their saves. I was surprised my official Memory Cards still had their saves on them since its probably been 4~5 years since I plugged in a couple of them.

Anyone got any recommendations with regards to PS1 games, something that can be picked up rather cheaply?
