Seems as though quite a few users are gaining the ability to sign back into PSN again...we might be close to a resolution.

I'm still getting the error on my system. Not sure why it's working for some, but not all...

EDIT: I'm now able to sign in, although the date says April 29th...this shit just gets weirder and weirder. Looks like the problem might have fixed itself after all. However, I think I'm still gonna wait for official word from Sony before I try playing anything...

Just signed on on my machine. Timezone is GMT+10. Console date is 1st of March 2010. So it's actually out by 1 day.

          Testing AVP now...

EDIT: AVP boots fine, whereas it wouldn't yesterday.

            APOCALYPS3 AVERTED?

...for now, it looks like it. However, I think it best for myself to wait until official word from Sony. My 60GB YLOD'd 3 times last year and I'm not taking any risks with this shit.

To fix that is easy if you're net connected:

Settings > Date and Time Settings > Date and Time > Set via Internet

It'll fix the clock from the 1st to the 2nd (for us) and the correct time for everyone else. Mine was still out by 1 hour (something hasn't been factored in for Daylight Savings somewhere), but I could change that manually. The internal clock is still going to be out though.

Edit - I also re-synced my trophies with my online profile... took a while, but everything is back to normal there too. I'm just glad I synced those before I went to bed 2 nights ago, or else I would have lost them. Sorry to anyway who lost un-synced trophies.

Sony still has to patch this, but at least the inherent problem is gone for now.... until the next leap year if they dont. :p

Looks like it. Just signed back in myself, and resynched trohpies. Nothing seems corrupted, so it looks like it really was just the silly internal clock thing. Good enough for me, now time to get back to HR or UC2 if a certain someone with the initials JB gets on. . .

This whole scenario reminded me of that scene from Jurassic Park

this is why the slim is so much better than the original. no one was affected if you had a slim it seems.

My Heavy Rain trophies are gone, apparently. Ah well. I'm sure they'll be gotten on again on any of the next dozen or so playthroughs...
