Just watched the trailer for the first time and I was blown away, definitely a purchase to consider. Reminds me a hell of a lot of Ghost in the Shell, which is a very good thing.
    See you in hell.

I've never played a Deus Ex game before in my life but I love the look of the trailers too. I love the fact that it's different and yet it sorta looks like the modern world, and how it is a possible future with the way things go at the moment (transhumanism and being post-human and the argument of us "playing God"), and it just looks really good and an interesting world to play in. I'm going to buy it.

You can probably pick the first one up dirt cheap these days. It'll give you at least some idea of what to expect. I'm told the second isn't worth the discs they got printed on though.

Yeah, avoid the second game. I tried it the other night and it simply doesn't compare to the original.

I have played a few hours into the leaked press demo of this game...

My mind is fucking blown. The realistic shooting mechanics are great, the graphics are sharp and clear, the A.I. is fantastic (Although in need of some work nonetheless), the voice acting is generally decent, as is the writing, the atmosphere, the music, the immersion...

This game will be wonderful, and I'm heart set on buying it. Anyone else played it? I highly recommend you do. In fact, the developer forums opened threads on discussion of the game pertaining to the leak, and they're taken it very well (which I respect). It may have even been leaked on purpose just to show to everyone the work that's been done, the effort, and how Human Revolution lives up to its original (which it certainly does).

Here's some of the ambient music that plays: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7gHQGw4NS0

                ...beautiful.

Yup, that's him. Hopefully Simmons will be in this as well at some point. Old men rule the world and all.

I've heard that a younger Joseph Manderley makes an appearance, though he's this official working for Homeland Security. I'm hoping that we hear from Simons, especially seeing as I've heard FEMA being banded around in some of the trailers.

Wow, they actually got Bob Page's original VA?

Oh boy, do I love that kind of consistency.

Though, I noticed some scenes seem to look a little different than their E3 2010 counterparts, but I suppose that was made just to show the potential of the game.

Most likely buying this. . .most likely. . .

                              You are a fucking idiot.

I'll take the infraction, a small price to pay for letting someone know how much of a tit they are. What you just said there was one of the most retarded comments I have ever heard, so you don't want to play an older game because it has "shitty graphics" or something? The original game was fantastic but to dismiss it so nonchalantly is just retarded. There's no other word for it.

...oh John. What are we going to do with you? Other than lock you in the attic and wheel you out for parties?

He's right though, if overly abusive - Deus Ex is a fine game. Yes, it's graphics look fairly meh - by today's standards - but the storyline, characters and gameplay hold there own with any game you'd care to name today. If you just didn't like the gameplay, I could understand, but disliking a game for it's age? Just seems wrong. And you're gonna miss out.

Plus, no one tells me Resident Evil 2 and Parasite Eve are crappy, because I end them.
