Persona 5

For those who haven't yet seen it, and are interested in Persona. Though Atlus has been focusing its development on Wii, PSP and DS, I highly doubt a new game in the Persona series would appear on a handheld. At least, I hope it wouldn't.

What do you all think?

I never even got around to playing P4. I hope they bring it to Ps3...I think they could really do wonders with it graphically. However, if they decide, for whatever reason, to put it on something else, I'd get it (providing I have the system). I'm eagerly waiting for the newest one to come out on the DS. Devil Survivor was completely amazing. Still haven't gotten all the endings and such with that one.

I know next to nothing about the Megami Tensei series, should I somehow get the Persona titles on the PS1 before 3 and 4? Does anyone recommend the NES/SNES games? Digital Devil Saga? What is all this?!

Yes, I have used wikipedia. I'm talking about personal opinion, which one to start off with whether the first chronologically or not. Guess I should have been a bit more clear with that, apologies.

I think upgrading Persona graphicwise is a bad idea. I love the anime style that P3/P4 had, it looked good. Anything more realistic would ruin it, in my opinion. Perhaps a multi-platform game might be better. Although I wouldn't be surprised if the next Persona game was on Wii.

I don't mean a break from the anime style. I just meant improving the quality a bit more. Perhaps adding extra animations, etc; make the world larger with more places to explore...things like that. I also know that people like the silent protagonist, but after a while...I wish they too could speak. Voice acting for P3 was overall well done. I didn't play P4, so I'm not sure if they changed that or not.

The voice acting in P4 was really good, in my opinion. Although I like the fact that the Protag can't speak, it makes it easier to develop him the way you want to. That's the whole point of the Protag, you choose how his relationships develop and what kind of a person that is. I don't think it would work as well if he spoke.

And if that's the case, I think Wii would do a good job of upgrading all the technical aspects as well, or 360. Any of the three current gen platforms would do a good job.
