Pokemon is starting to go into very weird, unoriginal territory. Not much out of the ordinary happens in the games now...

Talk to Professor Dogwood-Magnolia-Redwood-Poison Ivy to get your starter pokemon.

Battle Rival who is always somewhere between male and female. Maybe its just me, but the Rival's sex usually seems a little ambiguous (At least Diamond/Pearl and HeartGold/SoulSilver's did).

Battle 8 Gym Leaders...No more, no less.

Catch a Legendary Pokemon or two.

Fight the Pokemon League and Pokemon League Champion.

Repeat.

BUT I can't really complain, as I actually enjoy the repetitive nature that Pokemon has created. These starters are kind of blah though...The Grass one looks rather arrogant, the Fire pig makes me crave ham, and the Water one just looks beyond retarded.

I have no idea which I would pick though as I like both white and black. It will be a tough decision.

My gosh. The female protagonist kind of reminds of Claire in the RE2 chapter of DSC.

I thought the same exact thing! Glad someone else agrees. The vest, the ponytail, the ripped shorts... It's all too familiar! I bet the resemblance will be even more striking if this female makes it into the anime series.
