      • Damn you Aris for beating me to it!

I just want for Spencer to have his Bionic Commando Rearmed 1/2 costume for his ALT look. This game's going to kill me with how much I am going to spend on the DLC

        • Can't wait to see the price point for those. Should be good for a laugh.

          • Happy MvC3 day!

DLC costume set 1 will be out on 3/1, for $5 on PSN and whatever the equivalent price is for XBLA.

            Pics:

The last 2 pics are Capt America (Marvel-verse) -vs- Capt America (Capcom-verse).

Also, it appears that Chris even has his "helmet-hair" from the REmake days.

Queue up the pining from Jill fans for her classic appearance in 3, 2, 1...

EDIT: Videos of Chris & Wesker in action (and Chris' moveset looks anything other than "dull" - his weapon chain hyper looks "awesome")

            • Queue Jill fan complaint or dig before a Jill fan even comments in 3, 2, oh wait I'm too late.

Much like SFIV I don't like that alts costs money when other games have this stuff as free unlockables (look at Tekken 6 for example). I may possibly still buy some but not from those revealed so far.

Also apparently Frank West and Doctor Octopus files were found on the disc, maybe some worthless retard messing in photoshop though. Doc Octopus would be cool.

              • Wow, as it turns out, Ammy has been my go-to for online fights and arcade support. Her normal attacks are light and quick enough to transition into an air combo, which can be capped off with her elemental hyper combo. Wesker's a little slow, but he can be quite devious and his HCs are powerful as fuck. Akuma, thank Christ, is no longer the fragile powerhouse he was in MvsC2, being altogether more well rounded. Chris has effective moves, but my style being sloppy and impatient, more often than not I end up throwing a grenade instead of firing.

I think the game has a good variety of characters with different styles that the player can take advantage of. Can't wait for the DLC.

                • ^Damn you lucky folks who've already been playing the game. I have to make it through the rest of the day at work, then sit through 3 hours of class tonight, before I can finally play MvC3. But I took the day off tomorrow so I can get a good night's rest, er, I mean a good night of playing some hyper-action 3-on-3 brawling madness!

I've read that Chris is a beast in MvC3, who can control space and stun enemies with his shotgun blast. I'm excited to use Wesker as well, because he's Wesker and his hyper combos look brutal. I will probably make Amaterasu my 3rd, because I love Okami...plus she's received a lot of endorsements from players.

As for the DLC...goddamn is Capcom guilty of highway robbery. DLC pack 1 is $5, but that's only costumes for 6 characters (Chris, Capt America, Dante, Iron Man, Ryu, Thor). There're 36 characters total (+ 2 more as DLC - Jill & Shuma), which means that - if you're crazy enough to buy every DLC costume pack - you'll be spending another $30 for the game...for KB of data that are probably already on the disc. Then you think about the cost of additional characters, and the inevitable second wave of alternate costumes for all characters, and the price just keeps movin' on up...

Yikes. I'll probably just wait for the full costume pack to go on sale in a year or so, like I did with SFIV, but damn that STARS Chris outfit looks cool...and if they do a STARS Wesker one too...

                  Damn you, Capcom. Damn you.

You make it sound sexy. Now buy the game already, lunchbox, so I can whoop you just like I do in MvC2.

I don't know crap about Deadpool, other than that he's funny & his shtick is to break the fourth wall...but what I've seen from vids of MvC3 are awesome. He moonwalks when backpedaling, and when he faces off against Magneto, he says to him: "Welcome to DIE." LOL.

                      • Is it really highway robbery when someone says "Would you like some fresh garlic on those hot dogs of yours? That'll be $5 extra. Please leave it on the counter before helping yourself to the toppings." ?

Anyway, got the game today and been playing for a li'l while. Having some problems adapting to certain characters (mainly chars I already somewhat know from elsewhere), but the newcomers are awesome! (And at least Felicia is still pure rapeness to play with.) I'm whoring that DLC on day 1. Can't decide whether it was the Captain America outfit, Ryu or Chris that sold me... Here's to hoping for plenty o' more to come (besides, if it's anything like with SFIV, you'll have discount packs with everything once the "sets" are complete)

                        • This game is awesome. It's the first fighting game I've ever purchased(other than MvC2 on PSN) and I'm fucking loving it. My dream team of Chris Redfield, Spider-Man and Deadpool has finally been realized. The characters...the stages...the banter...oh my. I haven't stopped playing it since I brought it back to my room over 3 hours ago. It's glorious.

"You are teh sux0r! LMAO! And just for the record, I'm laughing AT you, not with you." - Deadpool after a victory

I was wrong about Chris, too...he's a lot better than I thought he'd be(everyone is good in this game, it's pretty well balanced) but I stand by what I said about his hyper drive attacks, especially the grade launcher one. The rush attack where he gradually works his way up to an RPG is pretty sweet, though. Then again I guess it's unfair to compare a normal human being's attacks to those of superheroes, mutants and freaks of nature.

                          • Getting back to the BGM, Spider-Man so far is the winner for me. His theme has the classic "heroic bombast" approach that the composer(s?) of the Marvel Super Heroes/Vs. series up to MvsC1 took. While I like hearing iterations of themes such as the ones for Morrigan and Akuma, the deviations from remixes don't send them home for me. Ultimately, while I like the character select BGM, if there was an option to change it to the music from X-Men vs. Street Fighter, awwwww yeeeeeah!

EDIT: I'm just now realizing that it, like the others, is a remix. Dammit, now I'm going to get attached to the older version.

These guys have tried to decipher the absolute fucking maniacal nonsense that are the lyrics to Deadpool's theme. I don't think anyone will ever understand what the hell is going on in this song, and I think that's the point. It's absolute ridiculousness at its best.

EDIT: Just got another pearl of wisdom from Deadpool, after defeating a team with Spencer:
"You were so much cooler without the dreads...but this game is easier since you can jump now."
