The demo is now on the PlayStation Store. Just played it. My impressions:

The demo is nearly a full level that has you navigating from a Spartan ship to the city of Atlantis. You traverse the whole level, trying out new magic(Eye of Atlantis; right on the d-pad, shoots out blue energy/lightning) and the best fucking weapon Kratos has ever hard: a Spartan shield and spear. This is the fifth God of War game, and Kratos FINALLY gets to use the weapons that Spartans were famous for. They're AWESOME to use. You can hold L and press Square to throw spears, or use Square-Square-Triangle combos to use both the spear and shield to stab and bash enemies into the air. It's really a ton of fun to use.

It's another huge set-piece, something that the series is known for. It's a tried and true formula but it still works. This time, you fight the massive Scylla monster from beginning to end, and its presence is heard and felt throughout the level. You also must take down a Minotaur and other mini-bosses on your way to the end of the level, where the Scylla sets itself up for the final battle and Kratos launches himself towards the beast's face before the game's logo flashes on screen.

So pumped for this game. Chains of Olympus was awesome but this looks and feels even better.

In a word: WOW.

It's been speculated for some time, and now it's confirmed. Here's Kratos's long-lost brother, Deimos:



Looks like Deimos and Atlantis will both play a huge part in Ghost of Sparta, and Deimos will even be included as a downloadable skin for God of War III.

Gods whose fates we don't know:
Aphrodite, Apollo, Artemis, Demeter, Dionysus and Hestia.

This has always bothered me. Especially in regards to Hestia and Demeter - being that they are the sisters of Hades, Zeus and Poseidon.

Also, the Titaness mother of the Gods, Rhea. Surely she did not join the other titans in he fight against her children who she wanted so badly to save.
