Games everybody dislikes, that you like.

Final Fantasy X-2 and Resident Evil 5 are both games that I love that tend to be not so loved by the fanbases, but I can't really think of any games that I like that are hated by people I know other than those two.

I really enjoyed X-2 the combat system was great with the garment grids and such but it was the general tone and lacklustre music that took it down a notch for me still a respectable 7/10 I'd say.

As for a game I like that everybody doesn't I guess Evil Zone or Parasite Eve 2 they didn't go down too well in my group of friends as for more recent fair umm . . . Red Steel 1

I actually quite liked that game as well at the time. Have some fond memories of it. The Mos Eisley bit was my favourite part.

I love Evil Zone. It's an awesome game made of solid win and many people can't handle the awesome, turning to the lesser games they've grown used to. And people who don't love Parasite Eve 1 and 2 should be executed, to prevent there madness from spreading. They're almost as bad as people who don't like Valkyria Chronicles, now out in Japan as a anime and the sequel is nearly here too. Ah, the reason I looted a PSP...

Castlevania 64, and Castlevania 64: Legacy of Darkness. I really enjoyed those two games but most other people say they were rubbish. C64: LoD was probably my favourite Castlevania game.

Same here. I think Legacy of Darkness was pretty good.

I think I got a few games that I'm ok with that most people ignored back in the days.

1. Rogue Ops.- A Splinter Cell type game with an extremely petite female as protagonist (it was hilarious how this pixie size girl could take on several enemies on screen). The FMV's were crap, though. But I enjoyed playing the game.



2. Killer 7.- (Note: The GameCube version since the loading times on the PS2 make it for a very irritating experience). This game takes getting use to since you don't get to explore like you do in a regular 3D game. Instead, you can move only on certain paths that lead you directly to where you can interact, activate or find items. Getting to the point it's the name of this game. You play as several characters each with their own abilities and strengths. Another thing that probably turn off some gamers, is that the plotline/storyline is very confusing and almost incomprehensible. Has lots of politics and in that sense, the game really earns its M rating because I doubt most kids will get the adult subject matters included in the story. The FMV's include full animated scenes that are both anime and western in style & look. I thought they were well done. K7 has a ton of violence. Some of it very disturbing. Some of the content is also very creepy. Like there is a character in the game that is into some pretty f-up stuff with underage kids. The whole thing plays out like one crazy dream sequence.



3.- XIII: Admittedly, I used to hate this game after a first run (I was expecting it to be like Goldeneye or other popular FPS games). I rented it and sent it back... and for some reason, I missed playing it. So when I found it on the bargain bin, I bought it on the spot. And I'm glad that I did. I just enjoy the heck out of it. It's based on an European graphic novel (I think). There was even a TV movie based on it that came out on NBC this year. The plotline is similar to K7 in that there is lots of politics involve. It' emulates the Kennedy assassination and the conspiracies that followed such event. You got a protagonist that is framed for killing the president and he has to find out who was actually behind it. The main character's voice is provided by David Duchovny and even Adam West shows up to read a few lines. The game itself is a FPS with cellshaded graphics.



4. Star Wars: Bounty Hunter: I love this game. Especially the FMV's which were just amazing at the time. Explaining in more detail how Jango Fett ended up being cloned. You got the original actors voicing Jango and his sidekick, Zam Wessel. The game is a TPS where you go around hunting down criminals with a bounty on their heads. You travel to different planets and you get to meet some interesting characters. I thought that the level with the Bando-Gora was creepier than what I've seen in several games that were suppose to be scary.

I have this game on PC. You go back in time to solve the mystery of who murdered the main protagonist. There are other games with a similar plot,though. But I agree that this is one of the best.

BTW, homunculus was voiced by Charles Martinet. The same guy that voices Mario.

Shadow of Memories is one of the best games of last gen and it's also available on PSP now. Both UMD and PSN, I believe. The PSP version has some minor script adjustments, a new dub and some other touches. I did an opening recording of the PSP version and the PS2 version. The PSP recording is a bit shitty, but it's better than nothing.
