I'm just simply not gonna get too excited for this one. MW2 was a total letdown in many ways, so I'm not gonna set myself up for that again.
About the trailer:
- The stationary thermal camera at the beginning...if you notice on the bottom right, it's designated to up on the d-pad, so I guess that makes it equipment rather than a killstreak which is designated to left and right, usually.
- What in the fuck is that remote control car thing? Terrible.
- 0:27, crossbow with an exploding tip...pretty cool, I guess. Secondary weapon.
- 0:31, ballistic knife like the Spetsnaz use. That was pretty fucking awesome.
- 0:36, the guy on the right, next to the one who's getting shot. WTF was that?
- 0:51, the guy gets stuck with Semtex.
- 1:09, a remote control missile?
- seen throughout: attack helicopters, experimental M16, AUG, MP5K
- 1:18, obviously some sort of match replay/theater for editing video a la Halo 3 and Uncharted 2.
The 'full multiplayer reveal' is September 1st. Does that mean they're gonna host a giant media festival like MW2 did last year, or are they gonna finally reveal the co-op part of the game like Nazi Zombies and Spec Ops? We'll see, but I'm hoping to see what they have in store for that because Nazi Zombies was great.Last edited by Vector; 08-09-2010, 09:34 PM.

Amazingly enough, I've already received several "Message to all friends" messages from friends of mine on LIVE, instructing people to do the world a favor and just delete themselves from their friendslists right away if they're planning to get Black Ops (instead of getting deleted by the senders, once they see black ops being played by their friends)
I love some of my LIVE buddies!

To copy and paste myself on the subject of how I think this is kinda beyond stupid;
[17:53] <Carnivol> So, I'm not one of those who likes to tie video games into violent behavior and school shootings and shit like that... but isn't this just begging for all those 12+ year old wankers who gets this game to actually rig that shit with flammables and blow it up?
[17:56] <NE146> well not like they couldn't do that with existing RC's anyway
[17:57] <Carnivol> Sure. @Always being possible (Hell! I used to build model airplanes just for the purpose of putting them on fire and throwing them off a cliff when I was a kid.)
[18:00] <Carnivol> But I still think it's a bit stupid... mostly 'cause I think the main target audience (and money makers) for these games = complete morons.
[18:00] <Carnivol> Not that I think everyone should suffer 'cause some people are morons... but you don't pack a kid's backpack with a hammer, a board, some rope, and a copy of Stephen King's Misery.Last edited by Carnivol; 08-12-2010, 01:46 PM.
