Annoying on the zombie game, so many times you have 4 people then one dies and you're too busy with 30 zombies chasing you to revive them, rather than wait for a new round and respawn they quit, making things so much harder next round.

Ok, so I was already going to buy this at some point in the future, because of two reasons.

      1. I've bought every COD in the past on ps3.
      2. I'm a HUGE gary Oldman fan, and Reznov is one of my favorite game characters if all time. So, when I heard of his return that pretty much did it for me.

Also, my crew is jumping to Black Ops from MW2...not that it matters to me because I haven't had internet for the past two months
Anyways, I wasn't going to buy black ops until it was a cheaper used copy-but once CR29 confirmed the new zombie mode, I had to go out and get it NAO! I got a quarter of the way through the campaign mode last night, and I'm pretty impressed so far. By the way...

      Spoiler:

Yea that's why I prefer to only play with real friends online, people you can trust not to screw you over.

Reznov is a HUGE part of the game so you won't be disappointed, but Gary Oldman's character isn't in the game long at all.

This game just prints money, Most of my friends who are really into this kinda shit, said it was buggy and horrible, with a low res? i've seen some poor reviews too. I stopped playing them personally when they were only like 3 hours long to fininsh, and offered me nothing more as I dont "multiplay" online.

I did get a go at the new Medal of Honour at a friends, and that was nice for a change.

To think how many kills could've been prevented if someone heard that a Huey was being called in, switched to a class with a rocket launcher equipped and fired at it sooner. As you can see, all it takes is two shots from an M72 or Strela-3 to take down a Chopper Gunner.

The game has a few bugs and lag issues, but they're being worked on. It hasn't even been out a week and people are already giving up on it, so good riddance to them. As for the campaign, it lasted me almost 9 hours on a first playthrough on Hardened. People bitch and moan about how easy and short the campaigns are...so how 'bout you play them on one of the harder difficulties?

Might not be that impressive in fairness. I was fucking around with Combat Training (or whatever it's called) and the bots can take on the names of people on your friends list, and there's an easy as hell difficult level.

Finished a game on Nuke Town just wiping out the map with the helicopter, so it's easily doable.

Im instantly ranking this game R for "Retarded" and thus not on my menu.

But it does bring back good old memories where we were rollin´ Black Hawk style

Playing it on harder does not make the game longer, its still the same campaign, you just are slowed down buy being killed and covering more.

Anyway I'm not here to fight about it, I just dont find those games value for money. that is all.

                      • I'm calling foul on that vid, so no one on th eother team had ghost pro or used rockets that entire time, or even rage quit?

I've never seen a CoD round without the above.

LOL, well, that's to be expected when you don't play multiplayer. For me, COD always has massive bang for your buck. A few playthroughs of the campaign plus hundreds of hours in each multiplayer and zombies for me...Black Ops is especially robust in replay value. If you don't play multiplayer, then that's your loss.

                          • I never was a fan of over the top FPS, I like my games to be story driven... so... I´ll probably play this game at a local cyber or something

                            • Not to sound like I'm baiting any CoD fans in this thread but I think Operation Flashpoint was a better experience, namely because it didn't involve running from one setpiece to the next while following a handy yellow marker. Dragon Rising was more open which meant that while you did the same objectives, every playthrough was a different experience. There isn't just one way to go about things in the game.

That said, I think Black Ops had an interesting campaign. Certainly one of the better narratives of the series, with references to the Manchurian Candidate and MK-ULTRA. The setting went a long way with helping that. Also nice to see Robert McNamara making an appearance, plus the allusions to the JFK assassination.

By the way, does anyone else notice any references to The Rock? You have a character called Mason ("John Patrick Mason" was Sean Connery's character in The Rock), you have a deadly nerve toxin (Nova 6 bears a lot of similarities to the 'VX' gas in The Rock), and you've also got Ed Harris in there who also played a role in The Rock. You could also say the JFK assassination is another reference too, since The Rock alludes to that.

See, that's why Stanley Goodspeed was so in awe at the end when he saw those negatives - he knew it was Mason from Black Ops!
                              See you in hell.

It's really funny you say this because I was just watching The Rock the other day. I didn't watch it in its entirety but I saw the beginning parts with Ed Harris and the VX gas and actually did think about Black Ops. Good find. I'm sure that the similarities, which can't be denied, were a tribute to the film.
