Well I have to say this is my first COD for this generation and I'm impressed the campaign mode moves along nicely (which I haven't finished yet) but the multiplayer is superb. So far I've only played it in free for all but its the little things or rather major things that have me more impressed than the gme modes. The replay function, the perks, the contracts all really add to the fun but most of all the swiftness of respawn, when compared to the other FPS I play on 360 namely Quantum of Solace and Left4Dead 1/2 which feels like forever in respawn time, obviously its a different kind of game but still. Level 20 just now after about 6 hours play . . .

Compared to the Bad Company 2 vietnam expansion...this seems like a rip off.

Luckily enough for me, I own both PS3 and 360 versions of COD:BO but mainly play on PS3, so I'll be able to find out from people on Xbox whether or not the map pack is worth it. MW2's DLC maps were horrendously designed and truly made me feel ripped off...but if these maps are fun and give me more play time with my friends, then I'll foot the bill. The price sucks, I won't deny that, but I'd rather spend $15 bucks on Black Ops and get 'ripped off' because I really enjoy the game, than get 'bang for my buck' with Bad Company 2 which got boring after a month for me.

That may be true that people will pay for it in the hundreds of thousands, but that doesn't stop it from being a ripoff. There were millions of people who loved Britney Spears, but that doesn't mean that she's actually a talented musician.
