I think this is a great feature to have, especially for allowing the general player to try and use the tools and come up with some interesting things that you wouldn’t expect and adding longer life to a game. I think some people take user generated content for granted these days. Even back before this console generation with the gamecube, Time splitters had a crazy robust amount of features for the player to create their own modes/maps/content/other, and it’s still probably the in the top list of hours spent on a game for both single player and local multiplayer content. It’s a shame not many games these days does this and when they do, you’d be surprised what some people can do.
I give props to Suckerpunch to bringing a toolset to allow the player to play around with the sandbox further. I'm more looking forward to this game now with this news.Last edited by Zombie Fred; 03-03-2011, 12:37 PM.

Oh I am sure there will be some great player created stuff done, the question will be if it is worth shifting through the masses of crap to experience it. Probably not. Ratings are often as useless as people who make the majority of levels.Last edited by Dracarys; 03-03-2011, 12:05 PM.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

I bought inFamous a few weeks back but have yet to dive in and play. Must give it a try and see if this one is worth following.
I personally love the idea of the 'user created content'. If you view it simply as a bonus to the main game you are buying anyway, it's just a bonus!

New trailer
Today I’m here to talk about everyone’s favorite topic: powers! More specifically, how does Cole manage to improve on is already impressive set of electrical abilities? For those of you who don’t know the original inFAMOUS story, Cole’s electrical powers appear when he’s caught in the blast of a mysterious device called the Ray Sphere. [...]
Shows off another choice in inFamous 2 -- whether to add to Cole's Lightning powers with the element of Ice or Fire.
Both look bad-ass as hell. This game looks better and better the closer it gets.

New "plot refresher" trailer highlights the events in inFAMOUS and bridges the gap to inFAMOUS 2.
Pretty cool idea by Sucker Punch. Can't wait for this game.

I got the original in a trade (someone traded me SF4 and it for Heavy Rain) and I enjoyed it for what it was, but I don't think I'll hurry to get the sequel.
The online component is going to be shafted by this PSN outage, it affected it's Beta period. I'm surprised they didn't consider delaying it couple of weeks.
The Uncharted 3 beta bonus won't be much of a perk either, because it's due to launch next month when most people will get it for free off the PSN+ anyway if they stick to that plan.

LBP was pretty crap anyway, the base game barely had any content and the 0.001% of only levels that weren't complete ass weren't worth shifting through the crap to look for anyway.
You don't have to sift through levels made by people like you to find good ones. You simply browse MM picks or use any of the great filters available. The only way I find complete garbage in LBP2 is if I actually do text search and search for something like "Naruto". Even the shitty levels are fun to play and ridicule with friends. I've never laughed so hard while playing any other game.
Half-assing in inFamous 2? One hundred levels was more than enough to keep me occupied in the original, as far as I'm aware Infamous 2 has even more. It's not like they're releasing a bare-bone game with no actual content. Just as with LittleBigPlanet which had a great Story Mode that provided a great inspiration for many of those willing to create something more than a skateboard with a rocket attached to it.
I will get so much enjoyment from creating ball breaking levels that put players into a false state of safety and then bombard them with thousands of enemies via a booby-trap.
You seem to think that every game needs competitive multiplayer on the back of the box because of this stupid CoD mantra. I've learned that a great deal of single-player experiences are better than their multiplayer counterparts. I don't want to log on into inFamous multiplayer and be bombarded with lightning by a Cole clone camping behind a water tower. That would leave such a foul taste and ruin my overall impression of the game. You realize it takes actual effort to create the user UI and to streamline the development tools for the player?
The simple fact is, you're not a creator or artist. Therefor, you cannot appreciate a very significant portion of either of those games so your criticism is invalid. That doesn't mean other people don't have those talents. Just look at how many people are playing Minecraft.
A large part of the appeal in those games is to create something yourself, then show it off to your friends, and not to sift through the thousands of fake-costume levels in LBP. If you're not creating yourself, you're missing the whole point.
