  • Alright, so far-

Medal of Honor - mix between MW2 and BC2, initial impressions based on trailer is "will suck donkey dick in TDM/FFA, will be brilliant in objective based if spawn systems are done OK"

COD: Black Ops - Hind segment looked surprisingly "realistic", reminded me a lot of POE2 Hind and it was a bitch to fly, in a good and immersive way.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 - no comment, I jizzed

Everything else- meh after meh after meh

Still waiting for news on XCOM.

        • Going Commando?

(Ignoring the red hair, he kinda looks like a strange hybrid of my dad and my dad's best friend.)

By the way, notice how the hair in that concept art is totally rad & retro.

            • Pikminister - With the exception of your comment about the Goldeneye remake being better than most of what Microsoft showed (which I probably agree with) I couldn't understand what you're really getting at in most of what you said in reply to me nor why you'd bother quoting my entire post in chunks an attempt to make small quips.

As for the comment about leaks, well yeah it's getting worse, but people shouldn't be that silly leading up to E3. But it's not even just about leaks, it's about announcing new games that are also new ideas with new IP's... for some reason all 3 main conferences, as well as the sub ones I've seen so far somewhere mention this concept about providing new and exciting content, and yet no one really delivers.

However seeing as you somehow think I'm being just grumpy here - I'll give you a list of what I consider the good stuff that came out of the E3 so far to me:

Need for Speed - EA getting Criterion to do this is a smart move. It looks like a great return to the previous titles before Underground.

Portal 2 to PS3 - Getting Gabe to come out and make humor about his comments about the platform is one thing, but regardless of your take that is a massive success for Sony regardless of how the game actually does on the platform. I hope well because it will allow Valve to have fingers in all markets from now on.

Twisted Metal - I must be one of the "2" Carn mentioned - I was happy to see Jaffe up there showing off an awesome Twisted Metal title. Been a fan of the series since the beginning. Worst kept secret this year almost though.

MGS Rising - It looks different than other titles (and I don't mean by graphics here) and the cut effect is awesome. If you can really do that on the majority of objects in the game by the time it releases I'll be stunned... I also hate to think what the Australian ratings board will have to say about it.

Dead Rising Case 0 - 360 only prequel, content allows you to level up Chuck and take that advantage into DR2 when it releases. I think this is a great chance to see what "pay demo+" content maybe like in the future, especially now Sony is adding their subscription addition to the PSN.

Nintendo 3DS - Regardless of what I think about the original gaming content on the platform, Nintendo has done exceptionally well with giving it's consumers good cause to reinvest.

              • I joined the TM fanbus with TM4, pretty late, but I loved TMB which this looks similar to. 16 player TDM seems a bit overkill, though...

                • it looks like Nintendo is marketing the 3DS towards the hardcore gamers this time instead of the casuals.

I would think the whole 3D aspect will be the big attraction to the casual side, and this being the next big successor to its estalblished audience, they can do what they want in terms of games and hardware. The game list is going to be one hell of a selection.

Rombie, to be honest... I was half asleep when I posted that reply. I don't understand it either. Lets pretend it never happened.

Anyway. I like this take of the E3 conferences by Penny Arcade:

                          • Kids don't want sugar free candy. Regardless of taste. Sugar free candy with awesome taste sounds like something Sony would come up with. 'Cause sugar free = adult/mature (or something)
