  • Playstation 4...?

I'm wondering how many people have seen these videos, or if anyone can confirm their legitimacy.

Two viral videos have leaked, one which was originally ambiguous (is it PS3D or PS4?) and one which confirms PS4 as a virtual reality/3D platform.

    Video 1
    Video 2

While I'm obviously interested, I can't for the life of me figure out why Sony would jump the gun and reveal a completely new console when a lot of people say that the PS3's potential still hasn't been realized. Plus, PS Move? Isn't that supposed to be a priority?

The glasses are a give away in the first video. Plus the version number follows the line of system updates for the PS3, and I would believe when the revision comes it will be a jump to another round number.

Games in 3D would be pretty cool, I think at least.

It's too early and besides PS3 still has to dominate this console generation haha.

Oh yeah, if done right then there could be some great immersion. 3D seems like more of a format for games than movies. For all of Dead Space's detractors, I can't imagine what it'd feel like surrounded by the dark scenery of the Ishimura when a fleshy perversion just makes a mad dash for you.

Who needs a PS90000 when we can accompanied by a chain smoking, beer drinking, foul mouthed robot of a buddy to keep us entertained?

Oh yeah, it's been confirmed that it's fake.

I do not want to see or hear on anything about the next literation of consoles for many years to come. Developing games this start of the generation caught many devs with their pants down, while even some have suffered and been disolved due to bankruptcy. I am rather happy on what Live and PSN can do to update the PS3/360 this time around, with new software and features implimented. Something that last genration of consoles couldn’t much do. To jump so early with new hardware would be suicide (outside the handheld market) .

it must be for 3D or something because there is no way with the development of the motion controllers (forgot the PS3 version name for Natal) and then for the future the PS4 which i hope not for a long time as i love my PS3

According to Kotaku now, they were created by a student and have nothing to do with Sony.

Earlier this week, a mysterious viral clip appeared online. It was followed by another equally mysterious clip. Sony denied the clips were theirs. So, alright then, who made them?
