True to form, the combat looks a lot faster and more fluid, like the older games. Even the levels they showed us, the living forest, the pit and Shao Khans throne (complete with Sonya Blade in chains) are based off the originals, with a new coat of paint.

The game looks really good actually, and everyone has custom animations. There’s a real focus on the characters here.

I like Sektor's new look. I hope Smoke makes a showing too. Smoke was always awesome. And Cyrax. What? I like Cyborg Ninjas. It's the only way to make Ninja's cooler.

I am curious to see if the Noob Saibot/Sub-Zero thing shall continue too.

Which smoke? His human form or his cyborg form? I actually prefer his cyborg form myself. I actually didn't know up until a few minutes ago on the MK wiki that Sektor is pretty much the only evil cyborg ninja. I guess Mustard (Cyrax) and Smoke are trying to find their humanity/memory.

I'm fond of Smoke as a whole, although I do like his Ninja form. Not so much in the last one, but...

At the moment, at least, Smoke is Noob Saibot's slave after Noob found Smoke. Which is ironic, since Noob was the origional MK1 Sub Zero and Smoke's friend. Sub-Zero the Current may or may not be able to restore there memories, but it's likely he captured them during Armageddon.

I don't care too much about who all the characters are, as long as all of MK1's characters are there. Anyone else is just gravy. Jax, Cyrax and Baraka would be nice.

Those fatalities look fucking great though, Reptile spitting acid down your through, Lao sawing you from the balls up, Mileena ripping your head off then eating it. God damn it this game is gonna fucking OWN!

Edit: I just got done playing MK3. I beat Shao Khan's ass twice. I found out I'm really good with Smoke

Those are fatalities. Not the pseudo fatal attacks from MK vs DC and the hideous "Create A Fatality" from Armaggedon. I'd like to see if Kano's on it... His oldschool heart ripping would look badass in this game.
