What was wrong with MvC3 at launch? I just thought that people were having online problems and that was it. I haven't really heard much else about it.

I'm just not into fighting games. I'm not gonna pay full price for a game that I'll feel finished with in a week or two since I don't really like playing 'competitively' online with people who know how to combo you until you die.

There's also the fact that you've got a lot of players out there who will, to use one of your own words here, "butterdick" you with Sentinel's down+heavy beam laser, plus a lot of the characters are broken. Amaterasu's broken, just press circle over and over for instant combo, I've even seen professional Amaterasu players use this method. Completely broken. Dante is pretty overpowered, and I've heard that X-23 is somewhat broken too.

X-23 is balanced she's fast but very weak SSF4 is much more balanced anyone can be beaten

Back on topic I'm pretty sure Mortal Kombat will be balanced it will most likely come down to execution of combos and knowing your opponent to win

I think the only problem with MvC3 at launch was the ranked servers finding player matches and lobbies is easy

Aside from the designed problems like no spectactor mode, no replays, no ping indicator, no ping filter, no opponent browsing etc etc.

I've always seen Mortal Kombat as a game for people who are shit at Street Fighter. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it's never really been my thing.

@Kylie spectator mode strategy wise is good when left out it helps you pick apart your opponent and their team as for ping yea that's a problem

@Spencer I feel that way too Street Fighter is without a doubt the most complex fighting game there is and that's why it will always be my favorite it's like chess with fists

I like Reptile, but he's one of the worst fighters in MK. I rarely use him.

*Sighs* I was rather looking forward to it, the moment I was about to put in an order for a copy (instead of buying MvC3) here at one of the shops - it gets refused classification.

The reason I didn't want to get MvC3 is because I don't want to pay $100 for the same old crap from Crapcom with the DLC and the lazy recolours from what I've seen... I mean, if I bought it now, there will probably be another scenario like RE5 the Gold Edition release in a few months.

That's why I didn't bother paying attention to MvC3 in contrast to MK - to which I was glad to see they were correcting changes that had occurred over time.

So, it looks like I'm going to be sticking with the old Guilty Gear games, MvC2, Tekken and BlazBlue since I'm more or less refusing to get MvC3 despite people nagging me to get it. So, no Spencer. I'm not going to "solve" the problem by getting it.

Just going to have to import shit as per fucking usual.
