MvC3 is very bare bones in comparison to MK 2011, I can tell you that much already. Sure there's an Event Mode and some other little things, but it looks like they've gone all out on MK. Capcom on the other hand have decided to let the brand name do all the selling, and hope that brand alone will be enough to shift copies. Sure it's a fun game but it just feels so barren. Yeah, there's a gallery but it's just voice clips and music.

Like I said, the Challenge Tower sounds like a fantastic idea.

Out of curiosity, what do babalities look and sound like in this game? Do they hearken back to the old ones from 3-T, or do the transformed kombatants actually sound like babies this time around?

Just wait. I saw a guy do most of them last night...the majority of them were hilarious, especially Kratos, Kano and Reptile.

Well I've been playing story mode. I'm gonna tell you: I'm glad Netherealm Studios kept the story format (chapters) from MK vs DC. Won't say much, but you guys are going into a hell of a ride!

Yeah, I saw some of Story Mode on a stream the other night and the format of it looks great...the way the cutscenes seamlessly transition to gameplay is actually pretty amazing. It's definitely the first thing I'm gonna play when I pick it up on Tuesday. I'm very excited for it.

Capcom puts more effort on gameplay besides MVC3 focuses on 3vs3 combat, the whole game is based on that mechanic so I don't know what kind of additional content you can put in without ruining that experience.

Well, I just pre-ordered the game on sunday through Amazon + Free Shipping with it I'm
getting a $10 gift card and Reptile Costume DLC.

I'll probably won't be getting it this week though, since they take forever to ship it with
Free Super Savers shipping.

I hope I'll be seeing some of you when I get in the mail.

I like how near the end after all the failures Liu Kang actually gave up on Raiden and his visions

I can't wait till the next MK but we got years to go!

I'm on challenge tower right now, I'm on challenge 21 but I'm taking a 45 minute break. I'll do the ladder when I reach about challenge 50 or so.

Just picked this up, along with Tekken 6 and the Sly Cooper Collection. Strange thing happened when I played the demo using Johnny Cage yesterday. . .I actually had some fun. I know I've naysayed the game a bit(and meant to reply to a couple post that missed the point I was trying to make). I haven't changed my mind on the matter--SSFIV and MvC3 are better than MK in the gameplay department. But, I think the people who've played the game publicily didn't really do it much good service, like that machinma stream. Those matches really seemed unimpressive to watch. Nevertheless, the online features, and the couple people I have lined up to play with more than enough justifiy the purchase. I certainly hope there's more characters I'd like to use too.

I got this at Best Buy. Almost bought the collector's edition(they had one left), but, I really don't have any use for the bookends, as my shelf is already full of books, so no place to put them. But kudos, since they did look pretty nice. At least I get "classic" Sub-Zero skin.

He was my favorite of the old games, after all.

Only thing I have to complain about is the 4GB installation. Goddammit.

I think its optional cus my game started up right away

So far I'm loving the story mode and have gotten quite good with Sonya I love her air kick it stops the annoying jumpers along with her air throw her X-ray strings right in with her combos which is awesome. I did play one ranked match that I won I was hit with major lag not sure if its only the person I played or how it is as a whole MKVSDC was a laggy mess
