Well that's because MvC is basically a cartoonish fighting game. Of course it's going to be unbelievably fast. MK is portrayed a little more realistically, with characters using actual fighting styles and moving at a realistic speed.

      • I wouldn't say it's slow but input commands are not that well done

        • I like mortal kombat more because MvC3 is too fast.

To me, Mortal Kombat is less about keying in a specific combo to instantly win and more about actually fighting. Sure sometimes its way more frustrating, but I feel that its also more satisfying.

What really sells mortal kombat for me is the polish. The amount of kontent, the story, the character damage, and the sheer ridiculousness of it all just make it a blast to play.

          • Something about this Mortal Kombat felt lacking in the content area challenge tower is cool and all but it's not something you go back to. I loved the Chess Kombat and the Tetris-esque game in Deception

Goldeneye007 has a setting where if you stand still you die, hence no campers, sadly hardly any players either . . .

              • Sorry if this sounds random, can someone make me a sig with Sektor and Enigma_632 printed in it like the others.

Many thanks will be given. Lol.
                Finally playing 1.5. Woo-Hoo!!!

                  • Why does Cage have to get a counter X-ray. Some fighting game god in the sky hates me I swear, first Cammy counter ultra and now this.

I'd like the same but with Stryker...and "Mr. Spencer" obviously.
                        See you in hell.

Really? I would love to learn the fighting style that teaches me how to shoot fireballs and teleport. I don't suppose there's one of Liu Kang's famous dojos somewhere near my home, is there? I'd love to learn how to pummel people with my feet while being suspended in the air.

They're both quite "cartoonish". If you want to talk real world basis, then Virtua Fighter is as close as you can get.

This game has been out for a while, you should be over the initial game boner by now.

Well you could say MvC3 has more freedom in combo variety but its fluidity lies in combos that can be performed in no specific order which kind of takes away the emphasis of skill and leaves too much to the imagination and room for error.

I love both games to death, don't get me wrong.

The way you say it is not fluid makes me think it means that you can't make any combos in which ever way you want and that button mashing through a combo doesn't work.

I highly disagree with this idealistic train of thought, if this is what you were trying to say when you compare the two games...

What I learned in this MK and many others in the past, like Tekken, you can't get ahead of yourself in combos because they won't register you have to go along with their animation or at least not get too ahead of yourself.

I think you're taking it quite too literal and missing the point.

Special moves aren't associated with fighting styles

You clearly never played MK: Deadly Alliance, Deception, or Armageddon. They use real fighting styles. Look it up.

However, if you wanna learn how to do fire balls, I suggest you watch this video and practice really really hard.

BTW don't be dragging other games into this topic. Your already comparing MK and MvC3, we don't need a Virtual Fighter comparison too.
