Blaze was born from this rumor, I think there was another character called 'Hornbuckle' on the Pit 2 area background who was basically then, Liu Kang with a green swap suit...course the burning character he faced was also Liu kang, just with fire animation on his body.

Hornbuckle might be a good guess... Skarlett, Ermac and Blaze, as you've said, are born from rumors/fan speculation.

The way I see it, the only other pre-MK4 character that has a good chance at being DLC is Cyber-Smoke. If the mystery character is anyone post-MK3 it will more than likely be either Fujin(since he had a sound file) or Tanya(since she's the second highest DLC character in demand after Rain). Characters like Shinnok and Reiko will more than likely be saved for the next games story.

As for side game characters like Tremor, this pretty much sums it up.

What's funny though is that Ed Boon also disconfirms Fujin as well here.

I just really hope it doesn't end up being a guest character...

Tanya or Li Mei would work...well..actually they DO already have a Tanya skin made. I mean yeah they also have a Deagon, Shinnok, and Taven skins too, but Tanya would fit in this game well.

I mean Hell, Tanya was one of Quan Chi's henchmen along with Noob, and Reptile and hes prominent in this game.

My bet is on either her or Fujin, but we'll know soon enough....This game still needs a Fatality DLC pack with "The Kombat Tomb' and its stage fatality, as well as a Bell Tower and Armory stage fatalities.

Hes very meh at best. His combo's suck and his specials don't do much damage at all.
