Yeah I will almost guarantee that there will be no tasteful use of product placement in DR2. Why the hell would a major corporation such as Playboy who has international brand recognition, pay all this money and make all these announcements that they are partnering up with a major video game franchise if there were going to be just one or two posters through out the entire game? I would bet a lot of money that everywhere you go in DR2 you will see some sort of Playboy advertisement, which frankly makes me sick. Don't get me wrong, i am all for naked girls, just not in my zombie slaughter video games.

I wonder if there'll be some zombie dressed chick specials to go with playboy editions. Would be amusing to add with this. Who wouldn't want to add a bit more humour and taste to the game?

Really? I wouldn't like naked women in Silent Hill...they wouldn't fit, really. And if I see them on my kid's TV shows then hell will be paid. Personally, I don't really care for this.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom reached out to Playboy and did this for free. Remember the Swedish clothing brands, the nvidia boards, the soda machines and various other thingies that snuck themselves into Bionic Commando? Capcom didn't get a single dime for any of them. In fact, it was actually hard to even get real brands to accept the offer of free advertisement and product placement when it became known that the game would have an M rating.


Besides, if there's one thing cheap horror flicks and playboy have in common, then it's poor actors and models in skimpy clothes. Throwing in some additional erotica in Dead Rising 2 probably wont hurt. (Though, that DR1 camera really will be missed by certain types of players, I bet.)
