^That's what N64 games looks like in an emulator, though. With the exception of a handful of titles, the N64 was washed out blur-o-vision for all the money.

Anyway, just to make sure we're on the same page, kevstah never had a PSP, but finds it necessary to question the graphical capabilities of it when several people say these visuals already not only rivals, but to a certain extent surpasses the better end of the library on the PSP (mostly thanks to effects the PSP is incapable of, possibly even shader effects the previous gen of consoles couldn't properly handle.)

The fact that it also renders everything twice pr. frame is also a testimony to its graphical potential.

I think you might want to load up those N64 equivalents again and have a look. Zelda there clearly has a higher poly model for Link + much higher resolution textures for everything.

I'd argue that Majora's Mask from the collector's edition running on the NGC looks far better
If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

Then it's time to boot it up and compare
('cause it doesn't. Though, Majora's Mask on GC looks miles better than it ever did on the N64, but far from 3DS level. Though, of course, comparing what you're currently doing is comparing Majora's Mask in an emulator to a quick visual update for a portable version of Ocarina of Time. Going by the other N64->3DS shots, it seems like character models and all/most textures are being updated, everything else (level data) stays "as is" )

                          3DS Features Software Install

Nintendo has packed 3DS with so many features that it's not even promoting some of the major ones. Today's Nikkei detailed one such silent feature: software install.

According to the paper, gamers will be able copy 3DS software to internal memory. Multiple games can be stored with the system in this fashion. You'll be able to switch between games by selecting a title from the system's main menu.

The paper notes that due to this feature, there'll be no need to swap cartridges. When outside of the home, you won't need to carry game cartridges with you.

According to Reggie, the 3DS will apparently be out before March 2011. When asked, he also said that the 3DS will have decent battery life (while possibly ragging on the PSP and previous competing handhelds).

Im too lazy to dig up the interview so bear with me.

The "before March 2011" was already made known in the official press release months ago.
