The date (8th of July) is the same date as the grand opening of the Dead Rising 2 viral site Tape it or Die.

What is there to announce on the Dead Rising front?

I'll be entertaining the following ideas, at least;

-Case: Zero going multi (doubt it. At least not simultaneously)
-Case: Zero "real" release date revealed (maybe)
-Zombrex movie starting distribution (maybe)
-Previously unrevealed gameplay modes revealed? (maybe)
-An elaborate viral campaign starts and features plenty of viral (possible)

It's a glorified (currently XBLA exclusive) prologue-ish demo for Dead Rising 2.


Of course, it could be that they're going to announce something else on Thursday too (other than the opening of the viral site(s))

It's pretty much all of Capcom pointing to that date, though. Unity's been pointing at it for a month now, Europe's probably just tagging along. Think various portions of Capcom Japan's also been mumbling about some sort of reveal, but if it's related... beats me.

At least, the only things that are at least confirmed to clash and easy to suspect is Dead Rising stuff, since the phrase "the adventure begins" appeared on Unity, Facebook and the Tape it or Die site, along with the date of the 8th of july... But it's totally not unheard of that companies might drop multiple surprises at once.
