I love how much thought went into these easter eggs. This game really is just phenomenal.

If it's anything like Asylum as well (the hidden room) then there's likely to be a few more yet that are unfound!
Also not sure if anyone's seen - but there's Batcave DLC on the way. It's "only" a Predator map, which i'm perfectly fine with - but that'll be Wayne Manor, the armoury AND the Batcave now - hopefully they'll all be put to use in some story-based DLC in the future but if not they're great "director's cuts" in the meantime!

Whats the buzz about this game? Seriously it was straight trash. To be outdone by the original which was made years before this is shocking. They took a step backwards more than anything. Rubbish game and the £5 rental price was the biggest waste of my money ever. Hell Lego Batman was better than this. In MY opinion.

there are more easter eggs, try looking around the jokers office
also a few references to Lost right throughout the game, scarecrows den, Azrael was a massive easter egg in himself regarding batman future if you know his story, reading character bios and stories shows that quite a few villains are missing so will more than likely emerge in future games, the hidden messages on the radio encrypter, theres so many things

Thank you for answering me Stu and I'd say that all of that is very fair (and I apologize if I came off rough before, it just irritates me when people seem to see something great in a game when I don't). Of course, alot of the things you liked about the game actually made it worse for me.
To me, it was that scope, that overabundance of Riddler trophies, that really dragged down the game. Take for example, what happened once I was set on the path to tracking down Joker as the sniper. I discovered my first (of many) riddler trophies encased in that ridiculous little shell and I spent well over thirty minutes trying to figure out how it was supposed to open, only to later learn the ridiculous types of things you have to perform to acquire around a third of them (like gliding onto pressure plate cage, then grapnel boost out, rinse and repeat). It was just too much and frankly if we were to examine the amount of time spent on side quests and riddler trophies versus the main story the difference would be staggering.
Like others, I thought Asylum had a tighter narrative; I actually felt like I was doing something to get to Joker, only to be stopped by him every step of the way. You have the pressure of finding a cure in City, but it never really amounts to anything and frankly the amount of time you can spend dicking around while supposedly poisoned cheapens the urgency. Hugo Strange's "influence" was laughable and Ra's Al Ghul felt like he was there because they realized how unintimidating Strange is. Hell, as much as I sometimes disliked the parts in Asylum, I kept wishing Scarecrow was still around instead of them. At least then there'd be a legitimate excuse for the clear copying job that is the Demon Trials.
But I suppose that's just my tastes (and Destructoid's, too). This is just one of those games where I'll never really fathom the hype, much like with Killzone or WoW or Call of Duty/Battlefield.
I will say that I'm looking forward to New Game + though, as I get the feeling it will be the better experience.A man chooses...a slave obeys.

No need to apologise - i knew from the offset i should've backed up what i was saying with a bit more substance but when i posted that i was rarely away from the game for more than 30 minutes - i wanted to come back to my comment and do it justice. I know you weren't fishing for bites like some do, don't worry
I can see what you mean on your first point.
The same happened with me, it's just how the human mind works - you see something, you're naturally inquisitive and want to delve deeper. Some of the Riddler trophies ha me flinging batarangs like a mad man for ages - in the end i figured i'd just return to them when i'd finished the game and was fully upgraded. At least then i was able to figure each one out pretty quickly, it was only the one where you've got to dive bomb in from a mad height that gave me any prolonged trouble. Regardless, it was just another thing to do in the game even after the storyline had finished - and they were good and diverse enough to keep me interested unlike games like GTA or Saints Row where i'll rarely bother with collectible trawling.
But i can't say any of the other stuff ever bothered me. But i think i know why.
I'm not a comic book fan to be honest. I love Batman, but only Nolan's movies and the Arkham games, so i've not encountered any of these bad guys before - it almost felt like an education. My only recollection of the Penguin was the guy in the old TV series! So i generally enjoyed the Rocksteady interpretations of characters i only had vague impressions of, but then i'm also being introduced to new guys like Hush and Azrael.
So yeah, maybe it's that so much of the cast is brand new to me that i'm able to enjoy them without noticing any flaws?
New Game+ is a ton of fun. Like i say, the combat in the game is so immensely satisfying that any chance the game gets to throw more enemies at you is a good thing.

The funny thing is I'm not much of a Batman fan either. I like Nolan's movies (and Burton's and even Batman Forever) and I watched the Animated Series when I was a kid, but I've never been one of those comic book guys. So I don't have any problems with portrayals, just which villains they chose. Joker is always good, as is Riddler, but Penguin I've never been that fond of (and I felt the story involved him for too long), and Freeze has always been "eh" for me. Strange I only really knew about from Asylum's bio, so he never seemed like a worthwhile character, and Ra's was better in his more realistic incarnation in Batman Begins.
Some of the smaller villains I liked though, such as Mad Hatter and Hush, and even Clayface wasn't a bad plot twist. Azrael was interesting as a side story too, as I'd never heard of him before.
Szaas still sucks, and an assassin like Deadshot isn't really that remarkable. Ivy only had a bit part, but I've never been a fan of hers so that was okay with me. Bane's side mission could have been better than just destroying Titan Containers, and the random acts of violence were clearly something thrown in for the hell of it.
But yeah, this was a really good game, even a great game from time to time for me. Like I said, easily 8.5/10, not quite on par with Asylum but pretty good.A man chooses...a slave obeys.

Finished it with all the Riddler trophies (for Batman, still got about 3 Catwoman ones) and I loved the game but the ending seemed a bit rushed and
Spoiler:
Clayface? Really? I don't mind him at all but that was the boss at the end of the game?

Clayface was the only Batman villain to ever scare me when I was little. So, when he appeared at the end of the game, many a "OH SHIT." was uttered! Seriously though, he was freaky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERmAiXrsR1I I think what was so intimidating about him, was how seemingly hopeless Batman was while fighting him.

I turned mine on about a week ago and got some bullshit message that my game was corrupt and that I would have to delete my game and start again so I just held my PS3 button, turned off my system, waited a second or two, turned it back on and it was fine.
