As far as I'm concerned, there is no Bioshock without Rapture. They can try whatever they want, but this looks pretty lame at first glance. It's still a ways away, but right now, I really don't like how it looks. Whatsoever.

    EDIT: Here's the official site - http://www.bioshockinfinite.com/main.php
there's no BioShock without System Shock. and too me, i really dont care now that this new one has no Rapture. to tell you the truth, how much more can you explore Rapture? BioShock 2 made Rapture's new areas kind of boring. and if there were more areas to Rapture in the 3rd one, they'd probably still not be as entertaining to go through. so i'm actually glad for the change. its like, RE being in Raccoon City forever. that would be so freakin' boring after running through 4 different areas intersecting in 4 games.

I LOVE it, especially since they explained that they didn't want to do Bioshock 2, thay wanted to do something bigger with Bioshock's sequel (which I asume was Bioshock Infinite) but they didn't come to an agreement with the studio. So it's not theire fault that people got TOO used to rapture because of two games in the same city. They sed they wanted something like Final Fantasy has, were the esence of the games stay throughout all games, but that doesn't mean they have to be related or even in the same universe. So far I accept the changes, and expect something MUCH better that Bioshock 2...

          Wow you guys are pessimistic.

After 2 games taking place in one location, I'd want to try something new too, and this looks fantastic.

The contrast of all the color and bright sunshine and buildings to what's actually going on seems pretty cool, too. I think this could be a positive turn for the series, though I'd still prefer System Shock 3.

They're making a new Deus Ex (which I don't even care about. The first game aged terribly), so...

This does look pretty interesting and I also like the new location for the game. to be honest rapture got pretty boring after a while. It will be interesting to see what kind of enemies and guns this game has too and hopefully it will have a wider variety for each.
One other thing Im hoping is that this game will have more cut scenes than the previous two games, Im not sure about any one else but I love me some nice cut scenes

which made the first one extremely great. didn't need very many. just an opening, a middle, and an end.

The setting is fun. I'd love that it'd be sarcasm free this time.

It is a "spiritual.. prequel". It is completely unrelated to the Rapture universe.

It is related to BioShock 1 just as much BioShock 1 was related to System Shock 2.

Good enough for me. As long they keep their narrative polished like the previous titles I'll be buying this one for sure.

I just hope they don't rush the ending again. 5 years seems long enough to create a perfect and satisfying one.

                        Oh great.

Better be better than Bioshock 2 or else I give up on this series. BioShock 2 was horrid.

                          10 minutes of gameplay:

Looks pretty shnazzy. I'm officially interested in it. Too bad we have to wait around 2 years for it to release...

I can't help shake the vibe I get from the fantastic artwork to take me back when I watched many of Disney's classical animations (Snow white for example) as a young child. I think it looks fantastic and hopefully it delivers on the atmosphere and the pacing shown in that video.

Is that also Garret from Thief I hear?

Wow. I need 2012. So badly. If the world's gonna end, this is a way to make it go out with a bang.

Just watched gameplay footage on Inside Xbox (which could be the same footage ChrisRedfield 29 linked to) and damn 2012 seems way too far away . . .

EDIT: It is the same video . . .
