EA announced in Japan today that Mikami and Suda's new game is finally going to be revealed to the public soon. The venue: EA Tokyo Showcase 2010, an event the publisher will be holding at Japan's capital on September 15, one day before the Tokyo Game Show's doors open.

Can't come soon enough. Just hook it into my veins already!

I read that the game is being described as a "mysterious, action-packed horror game”.

It's been reported on a number of sites now, but via Famitsu the title of the game and further confirmation of it's apperance at the TGS (not that EA's announcement of such clearly wasn't).

It's titled "Shadows of the DAMNED"

Gameplay wise it will have the same perspective as RE4/RE5 over the shoulder look.

The main character is a demon killer that rides a motorcycle.

Sounds a bit familiar...

It's RE4 meets DMC, words cannot express how utterly dissapointed i am, i would have expected as much from Shinji but Suda? The soundtrack sounds nothing like Akira either, just generic punk rock crap. Way to kill 2 years worth of expectations.

I want to be excited...but...this is starting to turn into another Vanquish. I mean, it might help push a genre forward but both Shinji and Suda kind also pushed gaming forward in general; kind of hope this GameXGame from legendary developers trend stop here.
