Can someone clarify one thing for me, is the "trial" version just the full Case Zero without the ability to save in it ? or is it a slice of Case Zero ?

Fully enjoyed playing the whole thing, really can't wait until the actual game is out in the next few weeks, and because I love the 2nd game so much I went and modelled this:

If I've understood things right, you get to play up until you reach the ambulance in the quarantine area in the trial (ie. You get to run around the entire town for half-a-day of in-game time (full time span of the Case Zero story), combine weapons, kill zombies, unlock some doors, etc., but you don't get to play through more of the story than just the intro, so no story progression, no rescuing survivors and no fighting the boss.)

Played this today, is it just me or does DR2 look worse than DR1 ? :p

I mean yeah the zombies on screen were a LOT, but DR 1 had ridiculously well detailed character models, where as Chuck and his daughter look very .. last gen ? compared to that.

Other than that, great fun, minor frame rate hitches aside it was good to play Dead Rising again.

Don't judge DR2 graphics by DRCZ.

Case Zero is an Xbox live arcade game. They probably had to downgrade textures and models a bit. Other than that I think the lighting is way better than in DR1.

                Spoiler:

Also glad to see they are sticking to the music formula like with the first game played out. End cut scene music score was fantastic with the zombie vibe too. Can't express this above.

Does fighting zombies count as a war? I guess this guy'll have it covered.

Is this pic from a reliable source? So Frank might be in after all... Naughty Capcom / Blue Castle. Maybe it's just for coop. I like Chuck too, but there's something about Mr. West...

Apparently it's from the official website, with an accompanying in-universe post about from the guy who took the photo

A blurry "photo" that's appeared on Dead Rising 2's Tape It Or Die blog shows the game's protagonist Chuck Greene getting a little help from a journalist who has been known to cover wars.

So, I go after him. But then I see some other dude. Vaguely recognized him. Maybe saw him at a party a few years back. Maybe a celebrity. Can't remember his name, though. Phil? Floyd? Regardless, he was fighting zombies, too. It was like Oktoberfest! But replace beer with zombies! And drinking with slaughter! It was like I'd died and gone to heaven.

Oh Yes, if it's on Tape It or Die, then it's official. Now the real question is if Frank's in the story or just co-op? Chuck & Frank would make a badass pair...
